An 18 bore Spanish silver mounted percussion pistol, circa 1849, rebuilt from a Miquelet lock by Alonso Muñoz, Seville, Circa 1780 with swamped two stage blued barrel, inlaid gold scrollwork and inscribed in gold 'Sonde Sr Comendar/ Fr Dn, Fra.co drueda/y Barryentos' over breach, gold lined makers marks next to the engraved breech and tang, engraved lock, mainspring and hammer with gilt bridle, figured full-stock with scrolling foliage ahead of the lock and about the tang, full silver mounts with rococo scrollwork, trigger-guard engraved en-suite, spurred pommel and foliate cap, open escutcheon incised with coat of arms, moulded front and rear ramrod pipes and a silver fore-end cap, 10 5/8 in.
