A late George III silver mounted corkscrew, the cover of wrythen decoration, with carved mother of pearl T-bone handle (makers mark JR within a rectangle, possibly John Rich), 9.7 cm long CONDITION REPORTS Wear and scuffs. Tip of corkscrew flattened. Small chip and filler to end of mother of pearl handle, and some slight splitting along inclusions to mother of pearl where the darker brown areas meet the white areas. Some wear and small knocks to the silver casing, but screw-thread appears to function well.
