Frankfurt am Mayn, 1567); the Bishops' Bible, first published 1568, was an 'official' revision from the earlier Great Bible, & 'held the fort' ( especially against the popular Geneva version) until the enduring KJB. of 1611; the significant pictorial title depicts the monarch (Elizabeth) being crowned by Justice & Mercie.
