A pair of cut-glass silver-mounted scentsCondition Report: The first scent - the silver mount on the collar looks good, the hallmarks are clear. The bodies are hobnail cut glass, the stopper looks good. The second scent - the hallmarked silver collar is in good condition and there is a half matchhead sized bubble which has burst underneath the foot (naturally occurring during its manufacture). The stopper looks good with a very minor depression visible under a glass.

Three hallmarked silver, four-division toast racks; together with a Georgian-style silver sauce boat and a cream jug with reeded base (5)Condition Report: The marks on the sauce boat are rubbed and the handle is a little off-centre and a couple of the feet are slightly bent otherwise no major problems. The small cream jug with the lobed sides good condition save for two or three slight dents to the oval foot rim to the underside. Three toast racks....first OK condition, second toast rack is slightly bent and the third/last has damage where the end stretcher has come away from the main body.

The second pin appears the same - good general overall condition but some tarnishing to the actual stem. The box appears to be generally very good.

Bronze gilt with silver inlaysTibet, 18th centuryDimensions: Height 18 cmWeight: 241 gramsUnusual shrine of a Bodhisattva on a rectangular plinth with decorative bands, open-work support with stone inlay at the center and a round reverse lotus base with beaded rim. The Bodhisattva is seated cross-legged with soles of feet showing, wearing flowy garments covering the legs. The shoulders are also dressed with decorative robes, the upper body seems to be dressed in aristocratic clothes with a chest-armour and puffy sleeves. The hands are raised in front of the chest, showing the dharmachakra mudra. The face looks juvenile with a light smile and downcast eyes, earlobes elongated. The Bodhisattva is wearing a pompous crown of stone inlay. He is surrounded by a big flaming aureole with additional stone inlay, his head also bears a halo in the same fashion with a lotus flower at the top center. The back of this outstanding bronze is relatively plain.

Dressed in a flowy robe covering the right shoulder, no jewellery at all. He is touching the earth with his right hand, bhumispharsa mudra and holding a small vessel in his other hand. The Buddha used this gesture when he attained enlightenment under the bodhi tree. His earlobes are elongated and bear stretched-out ear holes, the face is smiling with downcast eyes, a raised urna between the eyebrows. Tiny balls cover the head and ushnisha which is topped by a lotus bud finial.

His legs are crossed, one hand resting in the lap with palm facing to the sky, the other raised in front of the chest. The khatvanga staff is on his left side, he is flanked by two consorts.
Bronze fire-gilt on silver base with cold gilt facesTibet, 18th centuryDimensions: Height 31,5 cm by 20,5 cmWeight: 2734 gramsTranslated as "The Wheel of Bliss", Chakrasamvara is one of the main Tantric Buddhist deities in Tibet. Here standing in wide stance with his left leg bent, the right leg stretched in alidhasana, on two prostrate bodies on a lotus base with beaded rims. He is shown in yab-yum position with his consort Vajravarahi, embracing her with two of his twelve arms, showing the vajramudra and holding the dorje and ghanta. The other arms are fanning out to the side holding various ritual implements. His lower body is adorned with a net of skulls and severed heads weaved together, jewellery and a skull tiara. The expression is fierce with angry eyes and teeth showing. The consort is wrapping her legs around his waist. She is holding a curved knife in her right hand and a skull cup in her left. Together, they signify the perfect union of wisdom and compassion.

The Buddha is seated in lotus pose gesturing the bhumipharsa mudra, calling the earth to witness. The whole body is dressed with ornamented fabric with various patterns and crossed belts covering the chest with a central chestplate. The expression is meditative and serious. The head with tiny curls is covered by a headdress with geometric shapes topped by a three-stepped ushnisha and flame finial. The back has a Cambodian inscription with the Buddhist year 2442.

The left hand is placed on the waist. The right elbow is placed on the right thigh, the hand is lifted towards the sky with slightly bent fingers, as if about to rest his right cheek in it, thinking. The head is tilted to his right side and the expression is calm, lost in thought. The eyes are slightly closed and have a dreamy look, with silver inlay. The Bodhisattva is dressed in a simple garment with a decorative brim, the bottom fanning out and drooping over the seat. A long necklace adorns the chest. The head is decorated with a high tiara with a seated Amithaba effigy. The back of the statue is kept simple, the open hair is falling on the shoulder.

The chest is bare and only decorated with a necklace with tiger claw pendant, a gift parents gave their children as talisman. A thin scarf is billowing around his arms. He is holding the sword to cut ignorance in his right hand, the other is holding something small and is close to the waist. Behind his body and his head are two separate aureoles with open-work flames. The large eyes of Manjushri have a piercing gaze with silver inlay, a raised silver urna between the eyebrows. Small braids hang down the forehead and are done up in a ponytail, enclosed by a tiara.

His head is tilted to the right, the hair is done up in two buns at the head. The eyes are highlighted with silver inlay.

The face is comparably round with slender facial features, small smiling lips, a thin nose and downcast eyes. Tight small curls cover the head and ushnisha topped by a jewel finial. Elongated earlobes frame the face.

The wrathful emanation of Avalokiteshvara is adorned with many beaded chains and necklaces, an opulent tiara and earrings, all highlighted with turquoise stone inlay.

The Buddha has very distinct necklines, a fleshy oval face with small, smiling lips and a large nose. The eyes are open and attentive. Elongated earlobes frame the face and rich curls cover the head and ushnisha. The back of the statue is free from intricate detail, the base is hollow.

His right hand is lifted holding a vajra, a ritual object of Tantric Buddhism. The Dharmapala is wearing an armour and a flowy scarf is intertwined in his arms. A large garland, usually made of skulls, is dangling from his chest. The face is rather calm and human-looking with bulging eyes and a goat beard and moustache.

Seated on a double reverse lotus throne with beaded rim in lotus pose. The deity has four arms, two are joined together in front of the chest in anjali mudra, gesture of adoration. The other two hands are lifted holding a rosary and a lotus flower. He is dressed in a robe with beaded brim. The arms are adorned with beaded bracelets, a large beaded necklace decorates the chest. The ears are of normal size with circular earrings. A three-pointed tiara sits on the head. The face is smiling with closed eyes as if in deep meditation, a third eye on the forehead. The base is hollow.

The God of Wealth's right hand is resting on the knee with the face palming up, usually he is holding a lemon in this hand. The other hand is holding his jewel-spitting mongoose. He is wearing a big garland around his belly, necklaces, jewellery, a high conical crown with pointy top. He is generally depicted with a well-nourished figure, another sign of wealth and abundance. His face is smiling broadly. The scarf is billowing around his shoulders. Not only in Tibet, but also in other countries like Japan he is a popular god.
Bronze with gold , silver and copper inlaysWest-Tibet, 14th centuryDimensions: Height 17 cmWeight: 354 gramsThis fine head bronze from West-Tibet of a Tathagata, a term the Gautama Buddha used to refer to himself in the Pali Canon. The head is attached to a metal rod. The face has very fine features, slender lips and nose, the eyes are downcast, thin eyebrows and a turquoise stone inlay as the third eye. The ears are slightly elongated and adorned with a circular ear pendant with beaded rim, the left ear pendant seems missing. The Buddha is wearing an elaborately crafted tiara and underneath it the edge of the small haircurls is visible. The tiara has a larger decor in the center with a golden circle and a small turquoise stone above it. The high chignon portruding in the middle is topped by a parasol with lotus bud flanked by what seems like deer antlers. Above the lotus bud is a crescent moon and a sun, again topped by a closed lotus bud. This is a very finely crafted piece.

The Bodhisattva is supporting himself with the left hand on the ground behind the leg, the right hand is raised with thumb touching the bent middle finger and ring finger holding a small object. Dressed simply but adorned with beaded chains and threads, a high headdress with bows on the sides sits on the head, a lotus bud finial on top. Elongated earlobes are hanging down to the shoulders. The face is small with large eyes, high eyebrows, a long nose and grinning lips. The silver inlay of the eyes create a piercing gaze.
