A Collection of Volunteer Artillery Insignia A late 18th or early 19th oval gilt shoulder belt plate of an Artillery NCO or private of the Royal Edinburgh Volunteers, with the crown, gun, title and monogram struck in relief; a silver and enamel shooting prize badge of the 1st Hampshire Artillery Volunteers, awarded in 1882; an oval silver arm-badge awarded by the National Artillery Association to the 1st Essex Artillery Volunteers in 1906; a gun badge for an officer's Undress pouch pre-1871; an OR's similar but smaller badge; and an all-ranks pouch-badge of the 1871 - 90 pattern; an officer's rectangular seeded white metal Undress waist belt plate, mounted with the QVC Royal Arms within the Garter, flanked by Union sprays (without Ubique scroll); an OR's burnished waist belt plate of similar style; and an officer's rectangular gilt waist belt plate of the 1st Suffolk Artillery Volunteers, struck with QVC, gun and monogram between oakleaf sprays; an OR's white metal busby plume socket c.1860 - 78, embossed with the gun in a laurel wreath; two tips for Volunteer officers' shoulder-belts, with a grenade (one in gilt, the other in white metal) within a white metal foliate cartouche; white metal shoulder-titles of 2/RA/DEVONSHIRE, THE/RGA/TYNEMOUTH and T/RGA/TYNEMOUTH; an officer's silvered button of pre-1873 pattern, and three of the later pattern; and ORs' buttons, also of the later pattern, mainly QVC.(26 items)
