Catalogue Note: James Foulis Hay, son of Sir David Allen Hay studied at Glasgow Academy, 1919-29 and is mentioned in the school's Roll of Service, he entered home service in 1942 and in North Africa 1942-3 as a Temporary Lieutenant on the Naval Staff.
