An 18th Century Persian Shamshir, with 79cm single edge curved wootz blade, steel crossguard with narrow langets and compressed globular quillons, the black leather grip with silver rosettes and snake head pommel, the foliate embossed silver scabbard with steel mounts to the chape and twin suspender bars, 94cm. Black patching to blade at the tip. Steel mounts of poor quality. Damage to backstrap of hilt.

A Shinto Japanese Katana with Special Order Shin-gunto Mounts, the 67.5cm blade with large irregular hamon, bo'hi running for 24cm from the one piece copper habaki, the tang signed ''MUSASHI TARO YASUKUNI'' and ''MA JU GO MAI DO FUKU SAKU'', with parcel gilt bronze tsuba, the yellow braid bound same hilt with triple chrysanthemum head menuki, the prunus decorated copper kashira set with silver family mon, hung with yellow and brown cord and tassels, the browned scabbard with copper mounts matching the hilt, with a later mahogany display stand; together with, oshigata and research material, a hessian label inscribed TAKIYAMA, OFFICER, a leather and red velvet belt and pistol holster richly embroidered with flowerheads and leaves in raised gold bullion thread, and a printed photograph of the surrendering office in a leather folding frame (4) Provenance:- surrendered at Bangkok, Siam on or around 11th January 1946 by a General of the 18th Japanese Army. Blade with hagire 18cm from the tip. Numerous areas of delamination. Braid on hilt is soiled, otherwise good.

Blade in good clean condition. Generally good condition.

A 19th Century Indonesian Luju Alang, Sumatra, the 53cm machete type blade with a narrow fuller running along the back edge, with white metal collar and bone hulu hilt, the two piece wood scabbard bound with bands of sheet silver, some missing; two Early 20th Century Indian Ornamental White Metal Dhals, with foliate engraved black and brown enamelled decoration, each 27.5 cm diameter (3). Orange rust pitting to part of blade which makes it difficult to remove the scabbard. Tip of scabbard is missing a piece of wood, some silver bands missing, Dhals - Both with general signs of wear commensurate with age but no significant issues.

An 18th Century Indo-Persian Matchlock Rampart Gun, the 112cm sighted steel barrel finely chiselled with a tiger hunt and wrythen bands of flowers, and with silver wire barrel bands, the similarly decorated side plates terminating in peacocks, the hard wood full stock with stepped and slender butt, all inlaid with formal foliage in ivory and mother of pearl and painted in gold with palmettes, with two steel sling swivels and ramrod, 158cm. Action works. Minor loss of inlay to butt. Three cracks to underside of fore-end, with small slivers of wood missing along the barrel. Good quality and in clean condition.

An Early 19th Century Turkish Yataghan, the blade inlaid in gold with panels of text, possibly from the Koran, with a narrow fuller running along the back edge, the bolster with silver flower studded decoration, the marine ivory earred grip with similarly decorated silver backstrap, the black leather scabbard with coiled metal stitching to the seam, 75cm. Some black patching and minor pitting to the blade. Age cracks to the marine ivory grip. The coiled metal stitching to the scabbard seam is coming undone slightly towards the tip.

The later silver plating to the blade has partially obscured the etched decoration and the maker's mark, there is slight wear in parts. Otherwise good.

Action works, holds at full and half cock. Brown pitting to barrel. Fine crack to right side of fore-end, Bruising to stock. Some damage to ramrod

An Early 19th Century Moroccan/Arab Nimcha (Mahratta Sabre), with 79cm single edge double fullered steel blade, the steel hilt with gold koftgari decoration to the downswept quillons and upswept knuckle guard, with foliate engraved silver ferrule and substantial rhinoceros horn saw handle grip, with leather scabbard, 100cm. Orange rust pitting to the blade and exposed areas of hilt. Two repaired splinter splits to the grip. Some loss of leather to the scabbard, with perished surface.

An Early 19th Century Officer's Flintlock Cavalry Pistol by James of London, 16 bore, the 23cm sighted octagonal steel barrel signed to the top flat, with platinum double lines and foliate engraved tang, signed and foliate engraved lock plate with slide safety, the walnut full stock with steel ramrod pipe, swivel ramrod, trigger guard with pineapple finial, with chequered bag butt inlaid with silver escutcheon, 36cm. Action works, holds at full and half cock. Light pitting to metalwork. Bruising to stock.

A 19th Century Caucasian Shashqa, the 77cm single edge curved steel blade with three narrow fullers running along the back edge, finely engraved at the ricasso with formal foliage on a vermicular field, the niello decorated silver bird head hilt with silver wire bound grip, the black leather scabbard with foliate embossed decoration to the silver locket, with fine scalework engraved decoration to the silver suspender ring bands, the steel chape with gold koftgari decoration, 91cm. Black patching to edge of blade. Wire binding of the grip is a little slack. Small dents to silver locket of scabbard, with wear to the koftgari decoration on the chape.

A West German 1957 Cross in Silver, the centre set with a War Merit Cross with swords design, the reverse with vertical needle shape pin; two German Third Reich Italian-German Medals for the African Campaign, one in silver, one in bronze, in a glazed display frame; four German Medals, comprising a 1914 Iron Cross, second class, a 1914-18 Cross of Honour, a Third Reich Merit Cross with swords and a Defence Medal (6). Action does not work. Much of the wood fore-end is missing, there is more metal than wood. Rough, well used condition.

A Good Late 18th Century Indian Shamshir, with 75.5cm single edge curved Wootz blade, the green jade hilt carved with a stiff leaf collar, the pommel carved as a ram's head with gold backed eyes, one set with a ruby, the cast silver crossguard with green and blue foliate champleve enamelled decoration, with ram's head quillons, the gold velvet covered scabbard embroidered with foliage in bullion wire thread and with champleve enamel twin suspender bands and chape, 92.5cm Footnote: Possibly made under the influence of Claude Martin of the Lucknow Arsenal. Pommel with only one ruby set eye. Pitting to blade, a nick and rust patching at the tip. Small areas of enamel loss. Some perishing and damage to the velvet scabbard where the locket would have been.

An 18th Century Moroccan/Arab Nimcha (Mahratta Sabre), the 90.5cm single edge double fullered and spear point steel blade signed at the ricasso in Arabic script, with rhinoceros horn saw-handle hilt, the steel downswept double crossguard and upswept knuckle bow with gold koftgari decoration and with green enamelled collar, the red velvet covered scabbard with silver mounts chased and inlaid with green enamelled foliage and with twin ring suspension, 108cm. Minor black patching to blade. Some wear to the gold koftari and enamelling on the hilt and scabbard mounts. Velvet pile of the scabbard is very worn, with some loss of fabric. Generally in good condition.

Walking stick gun - Action appears not to be working fully. Horn handle with repaired cracks to base. Cane shaft with signs of wear commensurate with age. Wood plug tip probably a replacement. Campaign cup - Good condition overall. Case with some damages to leather around edge.

A Shinto Japanese Tachi, the 77.5cm blade with broad undulating hamon, the one piece brass habaki with burred finish, bronze quatrefoil tsuba, the black braid bound same hilt set with a bronze menuki worked as a deity backed by bats wings, the silver speckled black lacquer saya with twin bronze suspension loops backed by lotus flowers, 108cm. Unable to remove hilt fittings to view tang. Blade with black patching and pitting, and with delamination marks. Black binding is fragile with some loss. Some loss of surface lacquer to saya.

A 19th Century Caucasian Flintlock Musket, the 95cm sighted octagonal damascus barrel with swamped muzzle, inlaid at the breech with gold tendrils, the lock plate with East India Company lion, crowned 2 and dated 1808, the wood full stock with silver trigger guard, fore-end tip and three shaped barrel bands, the tapering cylindrical butt with chevron carved grip flanked by inlaid bands of silver flowerheads, the butt with three silver bands and foliate motifs, the baluster knopped steel ramrod with worm terminal, 136.5cm. Action works, holds at full and half cock. Wear to damascining on the barrel. Fine crack to right fore-end leading from lockplate, with a repaired crack to the opposing side. Sliver of wood missing to right fore-end along barrel edge at muzzle.

Wire binding lacking to grip. Scabbard with dent near tip.

A 19th Century Burmese Dha, with 51.5cm single edge square ended steel blade, silver filigree covered hilt with melon fluted conical pomme, the two piece wood scabbard bound with five bands of silver coloured metal, 89.5cm. Blade is good. Hilt with small crack to silver collar and a crack to wood grip below the filigree. Minor dents to the pommel. Generally in good order.
