AN 18TH CENTURY FULL-SIZE VIOLIN with a one-piece back together with two bows in a W.E. Hill & Sons case. The silver-mounted bow has an indistinct signature above the frog.The front has some very fine cracks close to the frets and also down to the bottom edge running inwards. The back has a hairline crack just to the right of the button running inwards. There is also a fine crack to the side of the violin on the bottom, otherwise, it is in good condition.The length of the back without the button is 35.9cm. The silver-mounted bow is in good condition with no cracks or restoration. The other bow is also in good undamaged and unrestored condition.

The cigarette box has an engine turned pattern on its lid and a vacant cartouche. It is hallmarked, however the mark is indistinct. The spoon is of a chased design to the handle and a rounded bowl. It bears the marks "830S" and "NM". Approximately 8.9 grams/0.28 OzT. (4)
