A Royal Mint George V 1911 Specimen Proof Coin set, to include four gold and seven silver coins, 1911, Coronation year, gold Five Pounds, Two Pounds, Sovereign and Half-Sovereign, silver Halfcrown, Florin, Shilling, Sixpence and Maundy Set (missing the Twopence), set in the original dated red and gilt presentation case of issue, uncirculated.The proof set is in very good condition. All of the coins have hairlines on both obverse and reverse sides with the Two Pounds and Five Pounds having one or two more substantial scratches on the obverse faces and a small line of vertical digs running up from the brow of the king on the Five Pounds coin. The obverse sides of the gold coins appear to have been historically wiped or lightly polished as can be seen in the images. The silver coins have consistent deep toning across both sides. The original case has some minor discolouration to the interior and some minor scuffs and scratches to the outer case commensurate with age.
