ADOLF HITLER SILVER-PLATE SERVING TRAY An informal silver-plated serving tray once owned and used by Adolf Hitler, possibly at the Eagle's Nest where identical pieces were recovered and have since been placed in the market. The oval tray measures 14 3/4 in. wide and 11 1/8 in. front to back, and has a 2 1/2 in. wide national eagle and swastika flanked by the initials 'A' and 'H', all roll-stamped onto the tray surface. The reverse is maker-marked by Metal Fabrik Wurttemberg. Some tarnish as expected, else fine.
NAZI 'OLD GUARD' COMMEMORATIVE BADGE A most attractive and rare silver commemorative badge given by Gauleiter of Gau Dusseldorf Friedrich-Karl Florian (1894-1975), a silver-framed agate badge reading in relief on the bezel: 'Westmarkfahrt 1938 Alte Garde' The bezel surrounds a piece of striated brown agate with an applied silver swastika. The reverse bears an attachment pin and purity stamp '830'. mark of fineness "835" at back. The 'Altegarde', or 'old guard' is a term referring to the earliest members of the Nazi Party, i.e. those who joined it before the Reichstag 1930 German federal election, with many belonging to the party as early as its first foundation in 1919–1923. These men were Hitler's most ardent early supporters. Excessively rare.
Enameled Nazi Party membership badge, 0.75 in. dia. The silver lettering ‘National-Sozialistische-D.A.P.’ seen on the red border has darkened over time. If there are any markings on the verso of the badge it is unknown, as the badge has been mounted to a heavily tarnished and slightly larger rectangular piece of silver. The reason for mounting is undetermined. Apart from the darkened lettering, the badge itself is in fine condition.
PANZER ASSAULT BADGE IN SILVER Panzer Assault Badge in Silver by Weidmann, retaining almost all of its original silver-on-zinc finish, complete with barrel hinge and vertical pinback with hook type catch, marked with the logo of maker E. Ferdinand Wiedmann, Frankfurt-am-Main. 2 3/8 x 1 5/8 in.
PRE-NAZI D.R.A. SPORTS BADGES (4) Good lot of four pre-Nazi era D.R.A. sports badges, includes: bronze and gold badges by Wernstein, Jena, silver badge by Lauer, and a stickpin, also by Lauer. The gold badge lacks the catch on reverse and pin is oxidized, else very good.
WAR MERIT CROSS FIRST CLASS WITH SWORDS, CASED War Merit Cross First Class, with Swords, in original case, 1 15/16 in. tall. with excellent detail. The solid back reverse has a stamped catch and hinge with a straight nickel-silver pin. The pin is maker marked '62' (Kerbach & Oesterhelt, Dresden) to the underside. The silver wash has been completely absorbed by the zinc. It measures 1 15/16 inches wide and tall. Cased.
GERMAN ARMY OFFICER'S DAGGER German Heer Dagger with Scabbard. Very nice example of a German army officer's dagger by R. D. Luneschloss, Solingen. The pommel nut and cross guard retain almost all of their original detail, even down to the wreath about the swastika, though the silver wash has significantly darkened. The grip is undamaged and has aged to a most attractive pumpkin brown. The blade is relatively free of any damage, with only a bit of scattered corrosion and running marks along the high points. The maker's mark is as-new. The scabbard is in very good condition, with no dents or bends, and there is no apparent damage to the pebbling. Both bands retain almost all of their original detail. Overall very good to fine.
Beautiful complete Heer officer’s dagger by F.W. Holler, Solingen. All of the fittings are in excellent condition, virtually undamaged, and retaining all of their original detail, exhibiting a very appealing dark patina. The oak leaves, eagle, swastika, wreath, and scroll of the crossguard are all in top condition. The blade is near faultless, with distinct cross-grain visible. The blade is clearly marked on the verso of the blade. The scabbard is undamaged but showing signs of significant wear to the silver wash finish. This dagger is finished with a wire portepee properly tied thereto, and the original dagger hangers, with buckles and clips, constructed in woven bullion with a forest green velvet cloth backing. The long strap on the hanger showing a period repair or renforcement in leather, at the attachment point. A very nice and complete example!
