A 19th century Manchester School of Medicine & Surgery silver presentation medallion, J. E. Terry & Co, London, 1829, 'This medal is awarded by Mr Turner to Mr John Pearson in testimony of his having distinguished himself as an anatomical student of the first class' session of 1827 & 1828, in original Morocco leather case, 6cm. Sold with a watercolour on ivory miniature portrait of John Pearson attributed to Tom Faed verso, 11cm x 9cm overall. Thomas Turner was an English surgeon who established a medical school in Manchester.

Lot 22

A Continental silver and enamelled erotic case depicting 'Night' or 'Luna', probably Vienna circa 1930, the case finely enamelled with a scantily clad nude figure holding a crescent moon bow within a twinkling starry sky, indistinctly stamped probably '935' and makers mark 'M P' or 'M F', 8.5cm x 8cm, weight 4.1ozt By repute: Found in the mud on the battlefield at Monte Casino circa 1944. CONDITION REPORT: Some very minor surface scratching and wear, one small dent to the silver by the clasp to the front and back, one knock to the corner, overall condition is good. Interior - one retainer for the elastic on the inside cover has become detached, some tarnishing and would need professional cleaning - see the images attached to this lot for further clarification and an image of the mark. Hinge sound and case closes well.

An Arts and Crafts, Guild of Handicraft silver dish, London 1905, the rim intricately pierced with a squirrel design against a planished ground, makers mark 'G of H Ltd' 18cm diameter, weight 4.75ozt CONDITION REPORT: Possibly had something sitting in the centre originally? yellowing to centre - almost looks plate but piece is hallmarked for silver - see the attached images for clarification of this. A couple of 'crinkles' to the rim, some surface scratching. Marks slightly rubbed but still very legible, some tarnishing, see the images attached.

A James Deakin & Sons silver plated egg cruet, with six cauldrons and six spoons, bamboo moulded supports with serpentine handle, upon four scroll cast legs, 18cm high and a silver plated table gong, with grape vine frame suspending chased plate, with stick, 34cm high (2) CONDITION REPORT: cruet- Tarnished. Handle good. No obvious signs of repair. Spoons stamped 'EPNS'. Some surface scratching overall, more so to the underside. Gong - Central plate suspended by later string. Plate very tarnished and is scratched. Gong frame would benefit from a very good clean. Stick with tarnished handle and worn, with screw top ball fitting showing wear and would need recovering for use.Overall structural condition is well.

A 1920's French pale green silk flapper dress by Boue Soeurs, decorated throughout with 'jewels' against embroidered scrolls, the shoulder and belt embellished with ribbon flowers and leaves, the skirt with silver coloured netting, 113cm long (at fault) CONDITION REPORT: Extensive damage to the silk, most noticeably to the neck line at front and back, some perishing to the net, see the attached images for further clarification of condition. 115cm in length and approximately size 12
