A George V silver gilt two handled sugar vase and matching sifter spoon, by Mappin & Webb, of vase form, with pierced wire work body and engraved inscription, on square base with ball feet, the cover with pineapple finial, London, 1912, with clear glass liner, height 18.5cm, 10 oz.
An Edwardian silver gilt two handled pedestal cup and cover by Nathan & Hayes, of campana form, the pierced body with blue glass liner and decorated with festoons, Chester, 1908, height 15.5cm, 12 oz.The armorial is that of Heneage of Hainton, Lincolnshire (Or. a greyhound courant sable between 3 leopard's faces Azure a bordure engrailed Gules) impaling Petre (Gules a bend Or. between 2 escallops Argent). The engraving does not appear to shade the bend in the Petre arms correctly (it should be spotted rather than plain) but the couple whose arms these are as follows:George Fieschi Heneage, eldest son and heir of Thomas Henry Heneage of Hainton, Lincolnshire and Anna Maria Fieschi (daughter of Roberto Fieschi, Count de Lavagna). He was born in 1730 and died in 1782. On 18th September 1755 he married the Hon. Catherine Petre, daughter of Robert James 8th Baron Petre. She died in 1783.It may be a coincidence but 1763 also saw George Fieschi Heneage commissioned Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. The Heneage family, Barons Heneage 1896-1967, still own Hainton Hall.
