Sterling silver scalloped edged tray by James Deakin & Sons Sheffield 1933. The centre of the tray is engraved with the regimental crest of the Kings Own Scottish Borderers and below which is inscribed; "Presented by the Officers to Major G.S Beattie MBE on his retirement after thirty eight years service with the battalion 1912-1950". Surrounding this text are the signatures of the battalions officers expertly reproduced in the tray's body. 564g
