Rolls Royce 'Spirit of Ecstasy' mascot, a good example of the ealiest and largest of all the Rolls-Royce 'Spirit of Ecstasy' radiator mascot, approx 23 cms h. The Edwardian 1911 Rolls-Royce 'Silver Ghost' mascot, finished in the original silver-plated finish on a bronze base metal. Being the earliest of them all this mascot is correctly marked Rolls Royce Limited Feb 6th 1911 around the circumference of the hollow undersided stepped base and signed Charles Sykes across the dome of the hollow base area. This mascot is mounted to the correct RR 'Silver Ghost' radiator cap. Equally correctly the mascot has no underwing markings, which are a later addition after 1918. And also features the pronounced hairband, another pre-war dating point. This George V example is in good original condition throughout, original Rolls Royce cars now selling for over a £1,000 000 this mascot is a prize for any serious collector. -
