WW2 German Iron Cross 2nd Class Grouping of Obergefreiten Franz Kerschner Panzer-Grenadier Regiment 394, near mint condition example of a 2nd class Iron Cross which retains nearly all of the silver frosted finish to the frame and all the finish to the centre of the award. The medal ring is stamped with maker number ‘113’ for Hermann Aurich, Dresden. The award is complete with the medal ribbon and the original blue paper packet of issue with the makers details to the reverse. Accompanying the medal is the original award citation, showing the award was issued on 26th January 1945 and is signed by the commander of the 3rd Panzer Division, Wilhelm Söth, who was holder of the Knights Cross of the Iron Cross. Also with the item is a typed document sent to the wife of Kerschner, forwarding the award of the Iron Cross to him. Superb grouping.

Third Reich SA (Sturmabteilung) Dress Dagger by Ernst Pack & Sohn, early model SA dress dagger with brown wooden grip having SA device and nickel silver eagle inserted, the SA emblem has lost much of the enamel and just the copper base can be seen. Grip mounts with the lower guard being stamped ‘Ha’. Anodised scabbard with single hanging ring to the top mount. Bottom ball with some denting. Top scabbard mount is missing the fixing screws. Attached to the scabbard is a good three piece leather hanging strap. Standard double edged blade with motto ‘Alles fur Deutschland’ and makers trade mark to the reverse. The makers mark has been partially erased. Some wear to the blade but generally still a good example. Blade 22cms, overall 37cms.
Royal Air Force Officers Full Dress Busby Badge, fine silver gilt officers cap badge being crowned circlet with motto ‘PER ARDVA AD ASTRA’ and silvered eagle to the centre. Reverse with two long lug fittings, eagle stamped ‘L & Co’. Generally a good example.

Lower section with an enamel target and spoon head with relief of a rifle shooting competition. Victorian Border Regiment Officers Home Service Helmet, blue cloth home service helmet with officers gilt, silver and enamel helmet plate to the centre. Rosette side bosses and linked brass chinstrap. Cruciform spike base with rosette fittings and fluted spike. Tan leather sweatband and red cloth lining. Interior with J B Johnson tailors label behind the plate. Generally good untouched example with the fittings having dark patina.

Cased WW2 German Luftwaffe Flak Badge by Gustav Brehmer, fine example of an early nickel silver Luftwaffe flak qualification badge which retains nearly all of the original finish to the award. Complete with its original pin and catch fixing to the reverse. Award is housed in its original blue leatherette case of issue with gilt tooled ‘Flak-Kampf Abz’ in gothic script to the lid. Interior with the blue cushioned interior and blue cloth lining to interior of the lid. Some wear to the case but generally a very good example of a desirable Luftwaffe badge.

Very good example.

Third Reich Silverware Removed from NSDAP Hotel in 1945, interesting silver plated tea pot and coffee pot both with the wreathed swastika emblem to the underside of the base. The centre of the pieces is stamped “Hotelbetriebsges. m.b.H”. Both have the volume marks stamped to the underside. The coffee pot has a dark patina and the tea pot has been cleaned. This silverware was part of the dining ware used at the official hotels purchased by the NSDAP in 1935. (2 items)

The eagle to the obverse has all the frosted silver wash finish remaining. Reverse of the award has the original pin and catch fixing. Maker marked ‘FEC. OTTO PLACZEK BERLIN AUSF. SCHWERIN BERLIN’. A superb example of a desirable Kriegsmarine badge.

Rare Georgian East Norfolk Militia Light Company Officers Short Tailed Coatee c1810-20, fine example of a scarlet cloth coatee with fine black (faded to brown) velvet collar and cuffs decorated with gold wire lace. Double row of small gilt metal open backed coatee buttons for the East Norfolk Militia and strips of gold lace to the front. Stitched in winged epaulettes with light company silver bugles attached. Reverse of the coatee with gilt buttons and bullion light company bugles. Interior with blanket cloth lining. Generally remains in good condition.

Pommel with mobile swastika to both sides, cross guard in winged form with mobile swastikas to the centre of both sides. Blue leather covered scabbard with polished nickel silver mounts. Partial aluminium hanging chains. Double edged blade with leather spacer to the top. The blade with makers trademark for F W Holler, Solingen. Blade 30 ½ cms, overall 48cms. Some wear to the exterior fittings and plating lifting etc. Leather covering to the grip has been re-finished.
