A SERVICE OF (MOSTLY) GEORGE IV SILVER KING’S PATTERN FLATWARE, London 1821 by Sarah & John William Blake (unless otherwise stated), comprising Ten Table Spoons (one by Wm Chawner), Eleven Table Forks (one London 1846 by Joseph & Albert Savory), Twelve Dessert Spoons (one Hourglass pattern, London 1826 by WE); Twelve Dessert Forks (one London 1898 by Wakeley & Wheeler); Twelve Teaspoons (four London 1850 by Geo W. Adams, one 1839 by Mary Chawner), & a cream ladle. (142oz total).
A pair of Edwardian silver vase-shaped wirework pepper pots with flame finials to the pull-off lids, each on circular foot & with blue glass liner, 3¾” high, Chester 1905 by Haseler Bros.; & a Dutch small ladle with embossed round bowl & cast zoomorphic handle, 3½” long, London import marks for 1895.
A Gigandet 18ct. coiled serpent ladies’ wristwatch, the small circular silver sunburst dial with gold baton numerals & Arabic quarters, the serpent’s head with green hardstone eyes, tapering coiled & sprung body. (12.9 gm gross, excluding movement, but including crystal & any internal spring elements).
A Victorian silver open-face pocket watch, the white enamel dial inscribed in red: “W.E.Watts & Co., Gloucester, Patent English Lever”, black roman numerals & subsidiary seconds, verge movement signed & numbered 88946, Chester hallmarks for 1883; another silver pocket watch with verge movement by W. Cross, London, No. 10076, London Hallmarks for 1878 (hinge defective); & another in ‘rolled-gold’ case, the keyless movement inscribed “Nirvana International – 15 Jewels”.
