R.G Turner, Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons, I.M.S, D.S.O, C.M.G., including the D.S.O, East Indian Service Medal Waziristan 1894, Central Africa (with Uganda 1897/8 and Lubwa's Bars), China 1900 WWI Trio with oak leaf bar, Indian Service Medal Waziristan 1921-24 together with a Full Size Cross of St Michael & St George presented by King George V with neck ribbon in original Garrard & Co Box and presentation certificate The Most Distinguished Order of St Michael & St George with signature of King George V and embossed stamp. Supportive Documentation includes The Statutes of the D.S.O Booklet dated 7th July 1920, Distinguished Service Order Certificate signed in ink George Rex dated Feb 1st 1917 and a Ceritifcate certifying a mention in Despatches by Lieutenant General The Honourable J.C. Smuts dated 8th May 1916, a Masonic United Grand Lodge Grand Master certificate dated 18th October 1912. Complete with a solid silver double cigarette box, London hallmark dated 1912, inscription reads "Lieut Col R.G Turner I.M.S with Best Wishes from the nursing staff The Ramsay Hospital Naini Tan India, 31 October 1913" containing a personal calling card of Col and Mrs R.G Turner with note to the vendors grandfather on reverse "Dear Jim with love from Amy and in memory of my husband Col R.G Turner C.M.G, D.S.O, F,R.C.S who died Feb 1953 Love to Mag also, dated July 30th 1956." Provenance: Belonged to a member of the family of Amy Janet (Jeanie) wife of Reginald Lieut. Col.
