Two rare vintage Fencing Epee's / foils / swords. Both having belonged to Olympic medal winning Fencing champions. The first with the bell guard impressed for ' E Mangiarotti ' (Edoardo Mangiarotti was an Italian fencer. He won a total of 19 Olympic titles and World championships, more than any other fencer in the history of the sport. His Olympic medals include one individual gold, five team golds, five silver, and two bronze medals from 1936 to 1960) and the other with the handle impressed ' Kulcsar ' (for: Krisztián Kulcsár is a Hungarian fencer, who has won two Olympic silver medals in the team épée competition. He became world champion in 2007.) Both appear in fair used condition, with various markings to the underside. From a private collection of fencing memorabilia.
A rare and important collection of Edwardian fencing items, all relating to eminent fencing coach Professor Felix Grave. The collection comprises of; Felix's original ' Academie D'Armes ' certificate dating to 1902 (framed), a large photograph of ' Mrs Freeman Nee Muriel Smalley, Pupil of Professor Felix Grave - Lady Champion Of England 1927-1929 ' (likely his star pupil - Freeman took Silver at the 1928 Olympics, as well as winning many other international awards in the period) signed by Muriel in the lower corner (framed; 60cm x 48cm), an Edwardian fencing jacket and matching fencing mask. Also included is a framed and glazed French newspaper cutting. A rare and interesting collection. Felix Grave was an eminent Fencing coach and sportsperson of the period, he became the first president of the British Academy of Fencing Masters in 1931 and wrote many books on the subject. His work was instrumental in the Oxford University Fencing Club which still exists today.

A fascinating hallmarked silver ' Oman National Day 1985 ' commemorative dish / plate. Originally gifted to an A J Hayes of the Irish Guards by the Sultan Of Oman - Qaboos Bin Said. The dish hallmarked for Roberts & Belk, Sheffield 1985. Accompanying the dish is a vast collection of related paperwork, letters and brochures. Given to Hayes at an evening dinner by the Sultan. Comes within its original presentation case. A rare and interesting item, with some unusual provenance. Weight approx 327g.

An incredibly rare local interest Bristol related ' Speedy ' or ' Mr Speedy ' car mascot. ' Speedy ' was the mascot for The Cathedral Garage on College Green, Bristol. Fitted to limited 'special' customer's cars, this mascot was removed by the vendor from a 1936 Hillman Minx. Supplied with the mascot is an original 1948 ' Silver Jubilee ' brochure for the garage which features Speedy throughout. The vendor, once an apprentice at the garage, is also photographed within the brochure. A rare piece of not only Bristol history, but automotive history. Very few of these mascots were ever produced. The chrome mascot in the form of Speedy depicts a smiling mechanic, holding a wrench in his right hand and pointing with his left. Measures approx; 13cm tall. Rare.
