A good post WWI German Commemorative Naval Airship crew badge, of solid silver construction with green enamel or lacquered wreath, the back stamped “C.E. Juncker, Berlin” and “925” silver marks, with original half round pin. GC (tarnished). During WW1 German Army and Naval airship crew had no distinctive qualification badges. The commemorative flight badges for Army and Navy airship crew were authorised for issue in August 1920. Plate 4
A scarce Third Reich 1933 pattern Marine NSKK dagger, the blade etched with RZM mark over “M7/66, 1938” and “Original” Eickhorn mark, the hilt with pale wood grip and nickel silver eagle and mounts, in its painted sheath, the hilt and sheath mounts having dark oxidised copper finish, with hanging strap and D ring with leather belt loop, the fittings also with dark finish, the D ring stamped “RZM M5/11” Good Clean Condition. A scarce Third Reich 1936 pattern NSKK chained dagger, by F. Dick, the hilt with nickel silver eagle and mounts, the crosspiece stamped “Nm” (SA group Nordmark), in its painted sheath with nickel silver mounts and having added centre mount and nickel silver hanging chains to upgrade it to 1936 specification, the upper chain having early type 3 links instead of the later 4 links (no reverse markings on the upper chain links), with D ring and leather belt loop. Clean Condition (a few scratches to the sheath paint). When the 1936 pattern was introduced current officers could either purchase a new dagger and sheath or have their existing dagger and sheath upgraded with new centre mount and chains as in this case.
