A footed silver cream jug, assayed Birmingham 1907Inside the bottom of the jug is discoloured and there are dark spots of oxidisation. There are also dark spots of wear to the underside of the four bun feet. The body seems to be in good condition with no major dents, rips, tears or restoration noted. The engraving is quite nice of a pleasing shape and the handle looks OK and the marks are legible although a little rubbed.
A fine pair of early George IIII period mid-18th century cast silver candlesticks with separate drip pans, each raised on square stepped bases terminating in gadrooning, maker's mark E.C, (probably Ebenezer Coker), one candlestick assayed London 1765, the other assayed London 1767, 26.5cm high, total weight approx. 1,282gThese have come privately in the same ownership for many years. They appear to be in good honest original condition, no repairs, splits or damage noted. These appear to stand true and upright with no real damage. One sconce is market with a lion passant and the other sconce has a lion passant and makers mark E.C.
An unusual late 19th century hallmarked Russian silver spherical-shaped caster on two supports modelled as lions standing four square upon an hexagonal base headed with red cabouchon stones to three sides, raised on three circular feet, the hinged cover centrally set with a single cabouchon turquoise above a fastening catch (possibly spice/pepper?), 6.5cm high One of the circular feet has been pushed in a little at the edge from the outside, the two lion supports appear to be in good order. There are some darker areas around the caster where over the years the cleaning cloth has not been able to reach. The sphere with the hinged lid does have some darker areas of tarnishing etc., although no major cracks, dents or reparations noted except for the hinge which exhibits a small amount of solder at the back, so at some stage historically this has been repaired. Apart from this the piece is unusual and fully hallmarked and appears to be in good honest original condition commensurate with age.
A 19th century French silver circular box and cover, the lid with a shoulder-length portrait miniature of a young lady above engine-turned sides and underside (4.5cm diameter) Sadly this portrait miniature is considerably faded and the circular frame around holding it with the “glass” over it is a little marked. The circular cover lifts off and is gilded inside as is the main body, the circular cover appears to be in generally good overall order. The circular base appears to be in good general overall condition with two Continental marks to the inner lip and engine turned decoration with a good overall finish.
A Japanese silver cigarette case (marked 950) silver sterling made in Japan decorated with tigers amongst bamboo on rocky ground , Fujiyama is shown to the distance, 16cm Condition seems to be good, it is dirty but there are no major problems with it. An unusual early 19th century hallmarked silver chamber stick and snuffer in the form of a rose stem upon a lobed circular base with scalloped edge, the conical-shaped snuffer modelled as leaves, Birmingham assay marks, base diameter 10cm, total weight approx. 131g Provenance: This has come privately from a good source and been in the family ownership for many years. The detachable conical shaped snuffer – the very top of the snuffer is bent over slightly although this may be the way it was made. The rest of the snuffer looks in good original order with the veins on the leaves nice and crisp etc. The main snuffer itself is highly unusual and is good general overall original condition. The handle is hallmarked with the lion passant and a Georgian head and the conical shaped snuffer is also hallmarked and the leaves also have crisp texturing and veins do not exhibit any real signs of wear. The underside of the piece is dark a little around the edges (tarnished) but would probably clean off, the edge of the piece has two scallops which present scratched “Pawnbroker style” numbers/letters to the underside and the nut holding the tendril stem onto the splaying base is fairly worn to the underside but looks original. Overall a nice unusual piece. Fairly heavy in the hand and in good order.
An antique silver rosewater sprinklerNo major issued noted although one of the pointed petals affixed to the circular foot at the bottom looks as if it has been repaired at some stage but this doesn’t really show unless under close scrutiny. There are a couple of “historic” marks/cracks to the area behind the petals at the top (very small), hardly noticeable. The rest of the piece looks in generally good overall condition. No “major” issues noted.

The hallmarks underneath the bottom are fairly rubbed but legible with the year letter just legible. The hinge appears to be in good order and the top shuts properly. The hinged top has a gilded interior which is fully hallmarked to the underside of the interior. The main body of the cylindrical scent has a cut glass stopper which appears to be in very tightly. Otherwise the engraving is nice and crisp and is a good item.
