Two matched George III silver salts by Paul Storr, London, 1808 and 1810, oval with shell, tongue, anthemion, acanthus leaf and shell borders, on "winged" paw feet, gilt interior and borders, engraved with crest within buckle and strap cartouche, 12 cm. long, wt. 396 gm. CONDITION REPORT: In good crisp condition, slightly different construction one from other in that one has a seperately applied border whereas the other has the border as part of the body all in one piece, one salt fractionally higher than other and one crest slightly smaller than other, the 1810 example has a tiny pinprick ding to lower body but this is insignificant

An unusual Edwardian silver novelty cigarette box by William Hornby, London, 1906, of cube form with hinged cover to top, the front formed as 2 playful monkeys in a cage, with mirrored interior back panel and glazed front, cover inscribed and dated “1917”, box with gilt interior, 8 cm. wide, wt. 317 gm. CONDITION REPORT: Glass panel at top of cage is loose and needs re-gluing, this is very minor, there is a very slight “gape” to top of cage, a few minor surface scratches to back consistent with age and use but in overall good condition

CONDITION REPORT: Smaller case has some of the red enamel missing from the tiny red motifs and lacks its elasticated straps

Canada:- A scarce Victorian regimental presentation album of 46 cartes-de-visite of the Canadian 13th Battalion, Volunteer Militia (Infantry) in leather-bound velvet album with silver escutcheon engraved with badge and inscription dated 1869; Provenance: R.G.Harris collection. CONDITION REPORT: Formed in 1862, the regiment later became the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry and the inscription reads “Presented by the Officers of the XIII Royal Canadian VMI to Mrs. Skinner, New Year, 1869” comprising mostly full length portraits, some head and shoulders, all named on the mounts but also including stand of colours, 5 other ranks of which one is named, one is from the regiment's Highland Company, one is in uniform of Royal Military College of Canada, one is bugler with pork pie cap, the officers mostly in full dress but several in winter dress, 8 officers in mufti, one in blue frock, his forage cap with “13” in crowned oval garter within maple leaf wreath, one in glengarry cap with “XIII” on maple leaf badge, also a Rifleman taken in Sarnia (South-West Ontario). Album lacks metal clasps and has very minor scuffing to leather in places

Light Infantry entitled “The Wolseley Cup Team”, a fine large studio photo of a Sergeant of 2nd Sussex Artillery Volunteer Corps in full dress with 4-bar QSA, c.1902, a shooting team of 26th Kent Rifle Volunteers, c. 1878 in busbies, posing with table full of silver shooting trophies, a young member of the 2nd VB Royal Sussex Regiment, c.1907, a shooting team of 1st VB Hampshire Regiment in slouch hats, posing with silver trophies, a group of officers of 1st Tower Hamlets Rifle Volunteers in scarlet full dress with blue cloth helmets, dated 1887, on reverse of album page a Gardner Gun battery from same battalion, clearly visible on their shoulder straps “1” over “TH”, a fine group of 4 officers from same unit in Torin caps and field service caps dated 1894, a very large format photo of an officer of 2nd Royal Surrey Militia with shako on table (crease to top right corner), a group of “B” Company, 3rd VB Royal West Kent Regt.,1903, a large glazed and framed photo of a Rifle Volunteer unit by a Stratford photographer, c.1890 and 3 other photos.
