The body is also very good and is free from dents, distortion and signs of previous repairs. The surfaces are heavily tarnished and would benefit from some cleaning. The interior is intact and original, however the silk is a little discoloured and is quite fragile in some areas.

The marks are clear, there are no splits, large dents or inscriptions.The cover has some rippling and signs that a crest or intials made have been removed. The decoration to the cover is also a bit worn and has lost some of its definition. The base is of a particularly heavy guage, there are a couple of small pin head type dents, further rippling and signs that a crest may have been removed and some heavier scratches to the interior.
