Some chips to the end of the tail, higne a little loose, otherwise okay.

A George I style shaped square silver salver, R.W. Burbidge for Harrods, London 1934, with moulded edge, on four claw and ball feet, 25cm square, weight 646 gms. Condition Report A few fine surface scratches, no inscription, the feet are in good condition. Attempted scratching out of retailer's mark Harrods.

A George IV silver cake basket, of shaped rectangular form, decorated with a gadrooned rim, with foliate and scallop motifs to the corners and with a crest engraved swingover handle, raised on a curved rectangular foot, decorated with a foliate band, London 1821, size 32.5cm x 25.5cm, weight 949 gms. Condition Report A few small dents here and there, cast rim decoration a little rubbed, overall good, with tarnishing and general wear.

Lot 1462

A Sterling silver rectangular dressing table tray, detailed Mex Sterling 925, size 29.5 cm x 19.5 cm, weight 627 gms. Condition Report Several small, but deep dents to the front which are apparent when the tray is turned over. These would be difficult to remove , there are otherwise a few surface scratches.

A circular box and cover, decorated with a tavern scene, probably European, a Victorian silver rectangular case with engraved decoration, Birmingham 1893, a Victorian silver butter knife, Sheffield 1889 and a Yard-O-Led silver cased propelling pencil, with engine turned decoration, London 1958, with a leaflet and a case, (4).

A pair of foreign silver five light table candelabra, with a central light surrounded by four scrolled single light arms, raised on an octagonal base, detailed 925, (loaded), height 25.5cm. Condition Report There is a small dent to the rim of one candle holder, otherwise with general wear and tarnishing. In my opinion these are circa 1990s. We do not know what country they come from and feel that they are fairly modern.

A silver three piece tea set and accompanying tray, comprising; a teapot, a twin handled sugar bowl and a milk jug, each piece with pierced decoration to the rim, above a gadrooned border, the teapot with black fittings, with a matching oval twin handled tray, having pierced decoration to the rim, length of tray 46.5cm, maker Charles Stewart Harris, London 1903, combined weight 2110 gms, with a fitted oak case. Condition Report Finial to teapot wood is cracked. Interior gilding of sugar and milk has been harshly cleaned in the past, now has overall fine scratching to it. Probable removal of dents to the interior of the sugar in the past. No gilding to interior of teapot, but there is fine scratching to interior of bottom of teapot. Spout in good condition.Tray; has fine scratch marks underneath and is of matt appearance.Outer box; would benefit from polishing, interior good.The gross weight of the 4 pieces of silver 2110 gms includes the black fittings of the teapot.

Condition Report Both sets are made in England, one set is Athenian or Grecian Pattern (cut cornered) and the other is a Thread pattern with swags.

Condition Report The spoon is present, see additional website images. The set is in good condition with tarnishing and light wear.

A silver oval hinge lidded case, with banded decoration within engraved rims, length 7.8cm, import mark London 1923, a silver circular box and cover, gilt within, import mark London 1905, combined weight 106 gms and a circular box, having a turned tortoiseshell base and with an associated top, (3). Condition Report The hinge is in good condition, there are few minor surface scratches and marks throughout. The silver circular box and cover, the gilding is a little weak within, the lid fits well, there are very few minor surface marks but generally in good condition. There are chips to the rim of the tortoiseshell base and also there is a chip to the side of the base.

Lot 1502

A George III silver curved rectangular snuff box, London 1803, a George IV silver rectangular snuff box, with engine turned decoration, Birmingham 1825, combined weight 147 gms and another rectangular snuff box, probably European with engine turned decoration, (3). Condition Report All boxes show wear to the exteriors, with rubbed engraved decoration, the oval box has a few dents and the crest to the lid is rather worn, the hinges of all boxes are good and the covers close tight.
