(100.5 x 103.5cm.), with overhang in folded position.

(40cm.) high, lacks base.* Condition: Vase is open at base - part is missing and there is a line of solder visible inside the base. Part of the border to the rim is lifting away. A few small dents to base. No other faults.

An Edwardian pierced silver bon-bon dish and pocket mirror with provenance from Anna Pavlova, the bon-bon dish by Henry Matthews, Birmingham 1910, with scalloped and beaded rim, raised on a waisted pedestal base, 2 5/8in. (7cm.) high; together with a miniature silver pocket mirror, William Adams Ltd., Birmingham 1922; and a copy of a 1931 auction catalogue (see notes below). (3)* This bon-bon dish and mirror were purchased from the Phillips, Son & Neale auction of the contents of Ivy House, Hampstead, on June 22nd 1931, sold on the instruction of the administrators of the Estate of the late Mme. Anna Pavlova. They were catalogued as lots 868, "....a silver engraved pocket mirror with wrist strap....", and lot 913, catalogued as "....a 3in. pierced bon-bon dish".** Condition: - Bon-bon dish: Marks clear. Small ding to underside of base. Small dent and tiny split to beaded rim.- Mirror: Handle engraved '30.11.1932' and initials EM to central cartouche. Some small dings to silver.

(11cm.) long, weight 0.38 tr.oz.* Condition: Dog-nose terminal missing, otherwise good. Mark a little rubbed but clearly legible.

A Victorian silver vinaigrette, Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham, 1852, of rectangular scalloped edged form with diagonal engine turned decoration & centralised vacant cartouche, the hinged lid opening to reveal a pierced floral & foliate gilt hinged lid to interior, 48mm long, gross weight 0.80 tr.oz.* Condition: In very good condition, interior slightly stained and needs cleaning.

Lot 797

A fine French enamel and silver gilt circular box, 19th century, finely enamelled to the exterior with a musician and courtly ladies in a garden and a courting couple to the underside, the interior further enamelled with parkland lake scenes, within raised gilt foliate scroll borders, the sides with rococo decoration of gilt foliage and trellis work hung with painted swags, struck marks to inner silver gilt rim, 2 3/8in. (6cm.) diameter.* Condition: Gilt wear to silver-gilt rim. Lid closes cleanly and securely. Enamel is exceptional condition, with no chips, flakes, hairline cracks or other damage. No restoration.

An Edwardian ivory pocket watch case, the angular box with slope front and bevelled glass window, hinged lid with push-button release, bottle-green silk interior with ivory watch mount and silver plated hinges, 3½ x 2½in. (8.9 x 6.3cm.), 2½in. (6.3cm.) high.* Condition: Tiny 3mm. hairline from top left corner of window and a few small scratches to ivory. Otherwise good, original condition. Push-button catch working well. Original green paper lining on base is worn.

(7.6cm.) diameter, gross weight 4.0 tr.oz.* Condition: Flea-bite dings and nibbles throughout, strong hinge, cover very good.  

Lot 839

An early 19th century French carved and silver gilt inlaid ivory fan, the guards with shell carving and pierced and silver gilt inlaid foliate decoration, the sticks similarly decorated, the leaf printed and hand coloured with a pastoral scene between embossed and gilded sprays of fruiting vines, a similar smaller reserve with two noblewomen and embossed gilt decoration verso, with ivory silk tassel, 10¾in. (27.25cm.) long.* Condition: Piece missing from bottom of one guard (just above baluster shaped hinge section). Crack & chip with small inserted repair to lower guard on other side. Sticks in good condition with no faults. Leaf has minor wear and small end splits along folds. Tear across top of one fold of leaf just to right of main image. Some wear and glued tears to leaf on left hand guard. Four small paper patch repairs to back of leaf to left hand side.

Waters, a twin handle vase decorated by Nellie Garbett etc. (8)* Condition: - Silver stoppered flask: Impressed '2074', script initials 'PB'. London hallmark 1903. Maker's mark rubbed. Engraved monogram to top of stopper (worn). Flask in VG cdn.- Square flask: Impressed 1785 and with retailer 'G.W. Scott & Sons' + registration diamond. Script decorator's mark IB. VG cdn. Lacks cork stopper.- Pair ewers: Silicone mark, impressed W1885, unidentified monogram script mark and painted SS mark. VG cdn.- Twin handle vase: Impressed 831, script decorator's mark EG. Glaze chip to centre of one raised rosette to body. No other faults.- Jardiniere: Impressed 2953. Script mark LW. Has been broken and repaired.- Biscuit box: Hallmarked London 1920. Marks to finial rubbed but match. Impressed 5603 and script mark LP. Cover restored. A few small dings to silver.- Tankard: Script mark RBR 10. Small ground chip to rim.

A silver twin handled Christening bowl - Channel Islands interest, E J Gallichan & Co Ltd of St Helier, Jersey, Sheffield, 1963, a twentieth century version of a Jersey Christening bowl, of typical form, engraved M.G.H, 4in. (10.2cm.) between handles, weight 3.4 tr.oz.* Condition: In very good condition, with no faults. 

Lot 511

A Japanese ivory and maki-e lacquer page turner, Meiji period (1868-1912), decorated to both sides with birds amidst fruiting and flowering plants in gilt maki-e lacquer, 13¼in. (33.6cm.) long; together with a pair of ivory letter openers with silver mounts depicting a pair of ducks, 5¾in. (14.5cm.) long. (3)* Condition: - Page turner: One side with minor rubbing to gilding showing the darker lacquer beneath, plus a few tiny scratches to lacquer. The other side has a few flakes to the gilt lacquer and some rust coloured spot stains to the ivory throughout. The centre of the ivory around the decoration is dirty with engrained dust.- Letter openers: One silver mount is missing one of the duck's necks. On the other other, the same ducks neck is bent. The gilt lacquered foliate decoration to the handles is heavily worn, showing mainly the iron red beneath.

A WMF Art Nouveau silver plated pewter easel back dressing table mirror, early 20th century, the bevelled, shaped plate within a pierced sinuous frame with classical maiden reaching up towards the iris flower surmount, brass easel back, stamped 20 to back of one foot, 19½in. (49.5cm.) high.* Condition: Original plate with an area of deterioration to silvering to lower left edge and long scratch to centre of plate. Back original - lacks one of rods securing the top of the back to the frame. Plating good overall, with some blistering to the plating to the maiden's arms.

A Victorian silver tobacco box, Norman Marshall, London, 1892, hallmarked in three places, of rounded rectangular form, the lid opening to reveal a silver gilt interior, 6 1/8in. (15.6cm.) long, weight 8.8 tr.oz.* Condition: In good condition, with three sets of clear hallmarks, very clean interior, surface scratches only.

A Persian silver cigarette case, early 20th century, rectangular with chased foliate decoration, engraved monogram to interior, 7 3/8 x 3½in. (18.8 x 8.8cm.); together with an Indian whitemetal cream jug; two Indian white metal covered boxes; and an Indian white metal pepper and salt. (6)* Condition: - Cigarette case: Dents and soldered repairs around clasp. Does close cleanly.- Boxes: Mushroom shaped box with some dents around base and one to cover. Circular box with 1in. split to edge of base and dent to edge of cover.- Pepper & salt: No faults.- Cream jug: Dents to edges of foot. Otherwise good.
