An unusual Edwardian silver combined jewellery and music box:By Mappin & Webb, London 1901, of narrow rectangular form, the sides embossed with alternate acanthus leaves and acanthus flowers, the domed hinged cover embossed with central vacant cartouche and trailing foliage on a matted ground, crimped border, lined with blue velvet & taffeta, 33cm x 9.5cm x 8.3cm CONDITION REPORT: The silver box,, generally good with wear to high of decoration. Crimped corners to cover uneven, and base corners possibly trimmed. Key lacking to musical box section, so unable to say if working.
A late 19th century Austrian silver, rock crystal and enamel time piece:In the Renaissance manner by Herman Bohm, circa 1880, the egg-shaped receptacle fitted with an enamelled time piece and applied with a gilt, the whole raised on a triform base of three mythical fish, and terminating in a domed and circular base on four bracket feet, H 18cm CONDITION REPORT: The silver is heavily tarnished and the base does not sit flush on a flat surface. There is minor damage to enamel on two of the scroll strutts/supports. maker's mark under base and clear. watch/clock untested. No key present.

Shell dish good. However the pincushion fabric is worn.The second example in this lot again is in good used condition. Hallmarks clear. The cart section is very slightly uneven to one corner, And the pincushion fabric is worm#n. detailing of animals on both is good.

Comyns, London 1959, and the cover set with a George III silver Fireman's "London Assurance" badge, Robert (II) & David Hennell, London 1800 , in the form of an 18th century knife box with side handles, The George III badge is oval form and embossed with Britannia seated below "LONDON ASSURANCE" and "6" by her side. interior wood lined and applied with a presentation plaque engraved with inscription "This box, embodying in it's lid a fireman's badge of The London Assurance, was presented to R. Olaf Hambro, Governor from 1933 - 1959, on his retirement from the Governorship. After his death the box was returned to The London Assurance by members of his family".dimensions 22.3 x 15.5cm CONDITION REPORT: The lid is set with a Georgian embossed London Assurance symbol with full Georgian Hallmarks, hinged handles to the side firmly attached and move freely.The lid on full piano hinge opens and closes firmly, the lock is engraved "Tessier London".Aromatic wooden lining snd set for two different length cigars stored vertically.no keyweight 3.2 kg.
