A walking stick with silver mounted collar, the handle carved in the form of a dogs head.

Lot 594

An Australian emu egg, mounted with a silver coloured emu and with both kangaroo and emu to the silvered coloured metal base, late 19th century. Height 12 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: We have not tested the metal for content. There do not appear to be any marks on the metal or the mounts. Other than being extremely dirty the piece is in very good general condition. There are no losses on the mounts and the egg itself appears to be undamaged. As stated, the only real problem is the tarnishing of the metal.
