An interesting Japanese lacquer box of rectangular form decorated on the silver ground in hiramakie with sprays of camellias and scattered coins, the interior is nashiji and fitted with a hinged zinc tea container, the cover worked with a scene of Chinese dignitaries. 27.5cm x 18.5cm x 14.5cm, late nineteenth century.
