ASPREY COMPORT. A pierced & engraved silver comport by Asprey, London. London 1939. Diameter 22.5 x height 7.5cm. 17 1/2 oz. CONDITION REPORTS: The comport is in generally good condition, with no splits to the wire leaf decoration. Hallmarks are good and clear. There are some light surface scratches to the centre of the bowl.
GEORG JENSEN. A Georg Jensen silver comport with hand-raised bowl & base, the column cast with fruiting vines. Post 1945 Georg Jensen mark, Denmark Sterling, numbered 263B & with import marks for London 1952. Diameter 18cm, height 19cm. 20oz. CONDITION REPORTS: The comport is in generally good condition. The rim however, has a slight wavy distortion which you can feel if you run your fingers around the outer rim. This could be easily remedied by a good silversmith. The grapes are all intact and there is no damage at all to the rest of the piece.
SCANDINAVIAN TANKARD. A Scandinavian silver tankard, the lid set a silver Krone dated 1621, the front with a double set of initials within a laurel wreath, dated 1735. Stamped to the base LD within a rectangle. Height 7.5cm. 5oz. (lid & lid flange later cut to take a spoon)
SCENT BOTTLE ETC. An Edwardian silver mounted cut glass scent bottle, 10cm & two silver mounted toilet jars. CONDITION REPORTS: 1. Large bottle-the glass body has two bruises which can be clearly seen. There is no stopper, but the cork-lined screw top is in good condition. However, it can be over-screwed. 2. Tall bottle-the glass body is not cracked or otherwise damaged, but there is rubbing/grazing to the hobnail cutting. The cork-lined screw top is in good condition, but the screw-top collar on the glass body has wear on its seam line. However, it does screw-up effectively. 3. Small, cut-sided jar-the glass base is in good condition, with no chips, cracks or other damage. The lid is also clean and tidy.
TEAPOT. An Edwardian silver bachelor teapot. Birmingham 1908. 7 1/2oz. CONDITION REPORTS: The teapot has been dropped at some time, as all four feet have been pushed inwards. There are a couple of dents and a crease on the bottom. Three of the four corners have shallow dents and there is a slight wobble to the lid. Hallmarks are still clear.
