A good quality double barrelled 30 bore flintlock sporting gun, by W Mills, London, c 1820, 45” overall, rebrowned twist barrels 29½” with 2 gold lines and gold maker’s poincons at breech, top rib engraved “Gun-Maker-to-his-Royal-Highness-the-Prince-of-Wales”; signed stepped locks finely engraved with fern tip borders, scrolls and flower heads, and having rainproof pans and rollers on frizzen springs; figured ash (?) halfstock having chequered wrist, silver barrel wedge plates and blued steel mounts including large trigger guard engraved with game birds in foliage and with pineapple finial, and foliate engraved butt plate tang; horn tipped ramrod having brass mounted concealed worm. Near VGWO & C, the locks crisp and retaining some colour hardened finish (small crack in the stock below one lock).
A 50 bore brass framed percussion boxlock pocket pistol, 6” overall, turn off barrel 1½”, B’ham proved, the frame engraved with foliate scrolls and “Williams & Powell, Liverpool”, with hidden trigger and plain walnut slab butt with vacant oval silver escutcheon. GWO & C (slightly worn overall, the nipple AF)
An 18 bore percussion boxlock sidehammer pistol with spring bayonet, 11” overall, octagonal barrel 5” engraved “I B Shorthouse”, with 5½” spring bayonet on left side released by thumb catch on the frame and swivel ramrod beneath, B’ham proved, with scroll engraved frame, hammer, top strap and trigger guard, finely chequered walnut butt with rectangular silver escutcheon engraved “1844”, and steel buttcap with hinged trap. A most interesting “double sporran” apron, goats hair with 12 tassels in scarlet cloth sockets, thick leather backing with WD and broad arrow stamp and maker’s mark “S (?) Silver & Co, C&N, 1863, London”, believed to have been used as a protective items during combat training with poles, similar to Japanese Kendo. GC (some damage to leather backing)

3 rare mid-1930s and 1950s French Solido. A Coupe de Ville, the first model from the ‘Juniors’ range of 8 models. Unpainted as produced. Spare wheel and boot cover missing. Together with a French style American influenced long wheel-base saloon car. Painted in cream with silver chassis. Fitted with a clockwork mechanism. Plus a spare Solido chassis fitted with a clockwork mechanism and red seats. VGC-GC for age, some fatigue showing.
A late Vic officer’s bearskin cap of The Royal Fusiliers, white feather plume in socket on right, gilt grenade badge (some gilt rubbed), with blue enamel centre backing and silver plated Horse of Hanover, label of “Edward Smith, Military Cap and Accoutrement Makers” inside. Finished in deep blue and orange livery, with 76 Scania-Vabis to tractor unit bonnet sides, Gulf to roof and Gulf Oil to doors. Complete with metal filler caps. A small silver mounted skean dhu, blade 3½”, darkwood hilt with strapwork outer face, facetted dark stone pommel in Celtic strapwork silver coronet, similar lower band, in its leather sheath, the engraved locket and chape with Celtic strapwork panels, HM “CA”, Glasgow 1941. GC (some wear to mounts).
A set of 12 A3 size loose prints from original pencil sketches of SS personnel, many identified on the print, dated 1936, with introduction by Himmler, pub by Forster & Bovries, Zwickau, in their black card folder with silver printed titles and SS runes etc; also a small silver fringed black banner with embroidered SS runes on one side. A good quality DB 14 bore percussion sporting gun by Smith, London, (Samuel & C Smith, Prince’s Street), 43” overall, well rebrowned damascus barrels 27½”, the signed locks finely engraved with borders, scrolls, game birds and dogs, the dolphin head hammers profusely engraved with scrolled foliage, the walnut halfstock having chequered wrist (worn), engraved silver throat pipe, barrel wedge plates and escutcheon with traces of family crest, the steel mounts comprising large trigger guard engraved with game dog and bird, and butt plate, the tang engraved with birds and serial number 1915, with brass mounted ramrod.
