An antique Treen burrwood multi thread dispenser, the front painted with a silver and sweetheart. Height 24 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The very top of the acorn finial does not fit smoothly. The structure is overall sound, no losses or damage. Some areas of wear, light distressing and there are occasional notches to the edge of the base.
A set of twelve George III Elgin silver dessert spoons by Charles Fowler, shell cast trefoils, three marks - CF, Elgin, bishops mark. 498 grams, each length 18.5 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: All structurally sound with clear hallmarks, no losses or splits, signs of wear which might include on some of them the odd scratch and spot of discolouration.
A Forres silver tablespoon by John and Patrick Riach, circa 1820, three marks - turret, IPR, turret. 70 grams, length 22 cm. CONDITION REPORT: This spoon is structurally sound. There are light scratches in places through use. Clear hallmarks and three very light spots of pitting to the underside of the bowl of the spoon.
A Victorian Forres silver toddy ladle by Patrick Riach, circa 1840, marked I & P. R. FORs, 32 grams, length 15.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Very occasional light spots of pitting, these are just visible to both the interior of the bowl and also on the end of the handle. The hallmark is clear and visible. The structure overall is sound, very light dents to the bowl through use.
A George IV Wick silver tablespoon by John Sellar, circa 1825, three marks - JS, Wick, AF, AF. 76 grams, 21.5 cm. CONDITION REPORT: Plenty of signs of wear to this spoon with light scratches throughout. Generally pitted in places both on the underside and the top of the spoon. Again structure is sound but with use so not entirely smooth overall and has signs of use.
