A George V silver and ivory tea strainer, Mappin & Webb, Birmingham 1925, the pierced circular bowl with gadrooned border, polished ivory handle, 15cm long Trevanion Auctioneers & Valuers do not ship items containing ivory outside the UK. Trevanion recommends that buyers check with their own government regarding any importation requirements prior to placing a bid. A buyer's inability to import these lots cannot justify a delay in payment or sale cancellation.The government have proposed legislation to create a UK law to ban the sale of all ivory. Please note this means that this lot is legal to sell now but may not be in the future. CR; There is a large split to the ivory handle, extending from the tip inwards, measuring 38mm. There are a couple of much smaller splits where the handle meets the bowl. The handle is slightly loose, wobbling when moved. The bowl is in good order, no large dents, splitting or signs of repair. Moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. See pictures for illustration.
An Edwardian silver mounted pocket watch stand, William Comyns, London 1903, of rectangular form with pierced foliate silver mount, brown leather reverse, 8.3cm x 7.5cm, containing an open face pocket barometer, 48mm diameterCR; Some hairline cracks and wear to the dial. Some loss to the enamel on the dial, but lettering is still in tact and legible. Heavy scratching and wear to the case. The pendant loop is loose and requires retightening. Denting, misshaping and small areas of splitting to the pierced front and the corners and sides. There are gaps visible around the silver mount and cover. Heavy wear and loss to the leather of the reverse and sides. Moderate wear to the velvet and silk lining on the interior, particularly on the highpoints. The easel to the reverse is missing. Barometer is reacting to artificial pressure.

Signs of solder repair around the lip of the cover, further signs of possible solder repair to the base. Heavy scratching to the interior, some wear and loss to the gilt interior. Cover opens and closes smoothly, but does not sit completely flush. There is a rattling sound when the box is moved, probably emanating from the cover, though its cause is unexplained.

Some of the engraved detail and the hallmarks around the ends of the boat have worn considerably. Possible signs of repair to the base of the canoe. Cushion shows general wear and tear, but no splitting, major damage or repair - the fabric may be a later replacement.Elephant: Moderate denting, around the body, legs and head. Small splits around the cushion and legs. Heavy scratching and wear. Extensive wear to the cushion, leaving only the weave. Silver polish residue around the cushion and in crevices.

Please note that three of the four teaspoons are unmatched, plated examples.Hallmarks to the stand, cups and teaspoon are clear. Base in good order, no large dents, thinning, splitting or signs of repair. One foot shows heavy wear/denting, all other feet appear to be in good order. The stand does wobble on a level service. The handle is loose and requires tightening. The cups are in good order, two show some minor denting, a couple to the body and some small dents around the bases. There are no other large dents, splits of signs of repair, though all cups do show moderate scratching and wear commensurate with age and use. The silver spoon shows some thinning and denting around the edge of the bowl, and some loss of definition, but no splits or signs of repair. The plated examples are in good order, no splitting, thinning or signs of repair.

A cased Myott, Sons & Co Art Deco dessert service, comprising: six dessert plates, each hand painted in a pastel rainbow design with silver coloured highlights, and six silver coloured forks, in a fitted case with retailer's label for 'Lloyd, Payne & Amiel Ltd', 44.5cm W x 23cm D x 7cm H CONDITION REPORT:The plates show fine surface wear, fine surface scratching and rubbing to the silver highlights, but no visible chips, cracks or losses. The flats of the wells appear to be slightly discoloured compared to the walls, and there are also some areas of discoloration to the rims. One plate shows faults to the silver highlights. The handles of the forks are stained and would benefit from cleaning. The case closes easily.
