A late Victorian pearl and diamond brooch pendant, c.1890, a cartouche shaped foliate frame, grain set with graduated old Swiss cut and old eight cut diamonds, with a 6.70mm-6.50mm pearl, peg set to the centre. A blade edge bar swag below, articulated at each side, claw set with graduated diamonds, concealed hinged jump ring to the top, bale and pendant drop deficient, detachable brooch fitting verso, pearl untested CONDITION REPORT: Later revolver clasp to the brooch. Scratched inventory number. 30mm in length. 25mm in width. The brooch tests as sterling silver backed with 15ct gold. The swag section at the bottom of the brooch has traces of a later white plating (only visible under 10x magnification).

A detachable diamond set bale with fold down eyelet and detachable brooch fitting CONDITION REPORT: Tarnished, requires cleaning. No obvious faults. Not marked in any way. Tested as sterling silver backed in 9ct gold. Surface wear only. Centre cushion cut diamond (slightly irregular) estimated as approximately 0.41ct. Target: 23mm diameter. Length: 37mm including bale. Graduated diamonds from 0.19ct to 0.41ct. Smaller diamonds to the back. SI1-SI2, P1-P2; x1 @ approximately G/H; most H/I/J.

A Victorian diamond set oak leaf brooch in a case by S J Phillips, the curved and pierced leaf grain set with lines of cushion cut, old European cut, old eight cut and rose cut diamonds. Detachable brooch fitting. French remark for foreign articles. Replacement visor clasp, one replacement stone, not diamond. Tested as approximately 18ct gold and silver CONDITION REPORT: Areas of light tarnish to the leaf. Glue where the replacement stone has been set. The replacement stone is not a rose cut, but not one of the larger diamonds. Approximately 2.50mm diameter. Scalloped gallery to rose cut diamond set leaf shoulders and a triple wire shank. Marked 18ct. Tested as approximately 18ct gold and sterling silver. Finger size M-N CONDITION REPORT: Requires cleaning. Hairline crack to the shoulder junction of one leaf section.

A two stone sapphire and diamond crossover ring, a square cut sapphire and an old European cut diamond, both claw set to rex collets, with crossover shoulders, grain set with graduated old eight cut and Swiss cut diamonds. Finger size R CONDITION REPORT: Some wear to the setting edges of the smaller diamonds in the shoulders. Wear to the back of the shank. Has been sized in the past. One claw on the collet of the principle diamond is pushed out of position. Gold collets, under bezels and shank. Tested as approximately 18ct gold, silver setting to the shoulders.

Lot 260

A late Victorian ruby and diamond marquise shaped cluster ring, c.1900, a cushion shaped mixed cut ruby, grain set to a surround of graduated old European cut diamonds, to a scalloped silver gallery. Fleur-de-lys shoulders set with old European cut and rose cut diamonds, to a gold shank and underbezel. Finger size S½ CONDITION REPORT: Estimated as approximately 0.96ct (a slightly cushion shaped oval). Total diamond weight estimated as approximately 2.75ct. Diamonds- H-I-J VS2 S11 S12 The ring has been sized in the past, and is slightly thin at this point. Setting all appears secure. Claws intact but silver setting very tarnished. Tarnish to the gold. The ruby appears to be original to the ring. Pinkish red in colour- the rub appears more purple on the website than in real life. R 6/5 - R6/4 A series of enlongated and rounded transparent inclusions and crystal inclusions. No obvious damage.

A Victorian gem set swag necklace, with an oval mixed cut amethyst, set to a sea scroll scalloped frame at the centre. An oval mixed cut peridot and citrine to each side, in similar circular setting, with graduated settings to the back, each set with a cushion cut rock crystal. Chain swags to the centre, with graduated pear shaped pendant drops, each set with a pear shaped rock crystal. Tested as silver CONDITION REPORT: Requires cleaning. Some of the jump rings and figure of eight shaped joining links require attention.

A two stone pearl and diamond crossover ring, c.1930, two bouton shaped pearls, 5.9mm diameter, cup and peg set in a crossover position, the shoulders each grain set with three, eight cut diamonds to a plain shank. Marked PLAT 18ct, both pearls untested. Finger size P CONDITION REPORT: Requires cleaning. Slight difference in colour between the two pearls. One medium cream the other more of a light silver/cream.

An hexafoil looped pendant, with a bouton shaped pearl peg set to the centre, to a hoop of calibré cut synthetic rubies. Diamond set lobes with peg set bouton shaped pearls between, to a detachable diamond set bale. Suspended on a pearl link chain, pearls untested, one ruby deficient.
