A pair of hobnail cut silver mounted grenade scent bottles (Birmingham, 1906), together with a further silver mounted cut glass scent bottle, a similar white metal mounted example and a white metal mounted liqueur bottle stamped "925" CONDITION REPORTS Hobnail bottles both have chips all over, dents to lids all over, one stopper fits but is chipped, the other stopper does not fit and is broken. Other scent bottle has chips to glass, very cloudy inside, stopper fits. Shaped scent bottle has some cracks to glass at neck, very cloudy inside, stopper is loose within the bottle. Liqueur bottle has some clouding to the inside, there are holes and splits to the silver mount, there appears to be some glue coming through the mount, stopper mounts match the shoulder mounts, although the stopper itself is a little loose. All have general wear including scratches etc.
A silver topped glass bodied inkwell, a silver cigarette box and a silver cased table lighter, the base inscribed "Monogas Colibri" CONDITION REPORTS The inkwell has various small chips to the glass, the silver mounts have some small dents and tarnish. The cigarette box is initialled to the top and has various dents all over including one of the corners, marks are rubbed, some splitting to interior, tarnish. The lighter has several large dents, and dents all over, lighter does not appear to work. All items have scratches, tarnish, wear and tear.

A box containing a silver cased wristwatch inscribed "Longines" to the movement, the case No'd. "4473131" to the inside, together with a thimble stamped "Sterling Silver", Isle of Wight paperweight, a Mauchlin ware napkin ring inscribed "Old Market Cross, Alston" and a stem vase CONDITION REPORTS It is not known whether or not the watch is in working order. Case has scratches, tarnish, dial is discoloured and has scratches. Approx 3.2cm diameter excluding strap supports and winder. Paperweight has scratches, internal flaws. Napkin ring has some chips to the edges, some small bruises, scratches. All items have wear and tear to include dirt, scratches, etc.

A Victorian silver plated spoon warmer in the form of a conch on a rocky base, together with a box containing assorted Belleek vases and pots, a Copeland Spode "Italian" pattern teapot, together with a 19th Century creamware transfer decorated jug and a transfer decorated cheese dish
A very rare piece of history - Captain J.E. Crossland R.N.R., R.D. Royal Navy Reserve Medal for long and distinguished service, with miniature in silver gilt. British War Medal World War 1. Mercantile Marine War Medal 1919 CQD Medal named in the original box. A 14ct gold cased pocket watch and chain in the original presentation box in working order presented to the recipient by the President of the United States. Crossland from Hamilton Ontario schooled on board HMS Conway, he left with a double extra certificate, a winner of Seamanship and English History as well as other prizes. He was for years aboard the Kirkwood in Liverpool it was dismasted and foundered in the North Atlantic after being stranded on the Bar of the Columbia River in Portland. Crossland took his first examination and from that was appointed Second Mate of the Earls Court, and other Liverpool vessel. After 12 months on the ship he was one of 6 survivors after she was wrecked on the Margin Sands in the Bristol Channel. He then took another examination and became Second Mate on the Clme and Proper a British Steamer belonging to Cardiff thus enabling him to take his Masters Certificate. In 1887 he joined P & O where he was 5th Officer of the Carthage. He rose to 2nd Officer on the Himalaya which were steamships. He then joined White Star and obtained commission in the Royal Naval Reserves in 1892. He took part in the Bombardment of Suda Bay Crete in 1897. He was awarded the Royal Naval Reserve Decoration for long and distinguished service by King Edward VII in 1908. He had commanded the Tropic, Bovic, Corinthic and Ceramic. The Great War broke out in 1914 when Crossland was commanding the Athentic, he was transferred to the Cymric carrying munitions and was one of 5 vessels to get past the German submarines. After this he was on another 2 ships Corinthic and Ceramic. In March 1920 he was transferred to the Athenic and it was during this time in command effected a rescue at sea. The Athenic received a wireless call near San Salvador from the Munamar, a steamer which was hard ashore with 83 stranded passengers. The Athenic saved them all along with their baggage. This earned him a much prized recognition from the U.S. Goverment, and this Waltham gold watch was presented to him by President Harding, also from the American people. During this period he received this CQD Medal in silver gilt and in its presentation box one of possibly only 4-5 struck. The passengers of the Munamar wrote him a personal thank you letter which has been framed as you can see, is part of this wonderful collection. Captain Crossland retired and his last voyage arrived in Southampton on 28th September 1923.
