The brass sextant with silver inset scale index arm with magnifier, thumb screw lock, horizon mirror, coloured lens and 7" brass telescope with additional ocular and objectives all contained within the original mahogany box, the whole stored in the original leather case (af), with gold tooling Heath & Co Ltd, New Eltham London. Numbered U369 National Physical Laboratory Certificate of Examination dated Jan 1920 and a further pink slip indicating adjustment in 1943.
Bristol Aircraft Ltd Enamel and Silver Long Service Lapel Pins. The lot contains four red enamel and silver pins for 20, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years long service together with two silver and blue enamel pins for 20 and 25 years long service with BS. The Bristol Aeroplane Company, originally the British and Colonial Aeroplane Company, was both one of the first and most important British Aviation companies. The company was responsible for planes like The Boxkite, Bristol Fighter, The Bulldog, The Beaufighter and the Britannia. In 1959 Bristol Aircraft merged with several other companies to form The British Aircraft Corporation known as BAC. BAC went on to become a founding component of the nationalised British Aerospace, now BAE Systems.

The lot complete with military paperwork not relating to the above and two black and white photographs and lastly a silver and maroon sword knot and strap.
A 19th Century Austria-Hungarian Medal. The officers 3rd class medal awarded for long service suspended from the original silk ribbon with the accompanying miniature. A further Austria-Hungarian silver gilt medallion for the Promotion of Humanistic Studies 1774, the medallion with a right-facing bust of the Archduchess of Austria and the reverse Goddess of Minerva, approx 45mm, all contained within the original presentation box.
