The lot contains four red enamel and silver pins for 20, 30, 35, 40 and 45 years long service together with two silver and blue enamel pins for 20 and 25 years long service with BS.  The Bristol Aeroplane Company, originally the British and Colonial Aeroplane Company, was both one of the first and most important British Aviation companies. The company was responsible for planes like The Boxkite, Bristol Fighter, The Bulldog, The Beaufighter and the Britannia. In 1959 Bristol Aircraft merged with several other companies to form The British Aircraft Corporation known as BAC.  BAC went on to become a founding component of the nationalised British Aerospace, now BAE Systems.
