WWII THIRD REICH MEMORABILIA, to include a 1939 War Merit Cross with ribbon and original envelope, accompanying typed letter on Devonshire Regiment headed paper, titled top left corner 'Corporal Slagg & Private Owen', letter reads 'Dear Owen, I thought you two might like to have one of these hun medals which I personally took from Hitler's Reich Chancellery in Berlin on July 7th. I found these in the room next to his study - lying about on the floor amidst papers, rubbish and rubble. They may be of either personal or historical interest or sentiment to you, in that I found them in person, and they came from Berlin. I went to Berlin with our 2nd Battalion, the band which I raised here in Exeter, and all of us with the 7th armoured division on July 4th 1945.
