Hyland & Co, Chicago, 1898, includes a photograph of Grinling Gibbons' equestrian statue with the comment, 'This equestrian statue of William III stands in College Green, and has stood there, more or less, since A.D 1701. We say “more or less” because no statue in the world, perhaps, has been subject to so many vicissitudes. It has been insulted, mutilated and blown up so many times, that the original figure, never particularly graceful, is now a battered wreck, pieced and patched together, like an old, worn out garment.' 3.25in. (8.3cm) In good condition. Three of the horses legs broken and soldered. Hallmarks rubbed.

Pair of silver table candlesticks with embossed knopped baluster stems, on similar circular bases, by Thomas Watson & Co (Birmingham) 1834 (loaded), 23.5cm. Condition Report Thin and worn in places, one sconce needs soldering. Wear on highlights, split on edge at one nozzle, the other in two pieces with sleeve jammed into sconce. Good marks on bases and one nozzle (the other stuck and not seen).
