Charles Robinson Sykes (1875 Brotton - 1950 Berkshire) nachGroße "Spirit of Ecstasy" oder auch betitelt "Emily", "Silver Lady" und "Flying Lady"Metallguss, vernickelt, schwarzer Marmorsockel. Monumentale Ausführung der berühmten, legendären Figur, die seit 1911 von Rolls-Royce als Kühlerfigur verwendet wird. Es war zugleich die erste serienmäßige Figur für eine Automarke in England. Guss 20./21. Jh; Dargestellt ist eine stilisierte, sich vorbeugende junge Frau mit vom Wind bewegtem Kleid, inspiriert von der antiken Nike von Samothrake. Modell stand ihm Eleanor Thornton, Sekretärin und Geliebte des britischen Adeligen und privaten Rolls-Royce Besitzers John Walter Edward Douglas-Scott-Montagu, 2nd Baron Montagu of Beaulieu. Für einen kleinen, exklusiven Zirkel gab es überdies große Güsse der "Spirit of Extasy", die in Villen, Stadt- und Landhäusern Aufstellung fanden. Central leaf sconce flanked by four matching candlestick sconces raised on scrolled naturalistic branches raised over a central split branch column with further leaf and scrollwork to the base. Set with three gilded ormolu winged long necked swan birds. Truly a fantastic display piece. Measures: 66cm tall.

The urn having an embossed cover with pomegranate finial atop and floral band below. Further embossed floral decoration interspersed with urns and oval cartouches with classical figures likey Apollo & Victoria with masks to both sides. Twisted stem with leaf decoration raised on a square plinth base. Marked to base. Measures 46cm x 26cm.

The travel / dressing table vanity box having brass bound borders to the exterior with the hinged lid opening to reveal an appointed interior. The interior being royal blue leather and velvet lined with a series of cut clear glass scent bottles, vanity bottles and trinket box with all having heavy hallmarked silver tops. The lid interior having a fold-out section with all removables below being within fitted lift out sections. Bramah brass locks and decorative brass hinges to the top section over a single jewellery drawer below retaining the original leather cover and opening via a push button to the interior top. Silver content hallmarked for London date letter M 1967, makers mark for Thomas Whitehouse. Measures approx 21cm x 32cm x 23.5cm.

An antique early 20th Century Russian enamel on silver pill box in the manner of Faberge. The pot of octagonal form with hinged lid opening to reveal a gilded interior. Profusely decorated with graduating cloisonne enamels in the Art Nouveau style. Stamped to base for 84 (875 silver) Moscow Kokoshnik mark with 20A 20th Artel makers stamp but heavily influenced by designs from the 11th Artel. Measures approx; 2.5cm x 6cm. Weighs; 108 grams.
