He was a keen cyclist as his records show and was a member of the Manchester Wheelers from it's formation in 1890. He later became Chairman and Managing Director of F C Lowcock & Co Glove Factory, and after his move to the Isle of Man was active in the Manx Wheelers Cycling Club and encouraging young cyclists. He died suddenly in 1947 at the age of 70. *CR See online images.

Exporting outside the EU will require an additional export permit. *CR Two of three tantalus broken and cracked, surface wear to case and loss to top section.
Two vintage Swaine & Adeney riding crops, the antler handles mounted with silver collars and makers button, one inscribed with initials (one marked for Birmingham 1888, the other hallmarks difficult to read. Also with two vintage Swaine Brigg leather top shooting sticks. (4). *CR Crops, both have a few small dents to the silver collars, general wear as you would expect. Shooting sticks, some wear to the leather handle on one, both with general wear to the handles and shafts. Pitting to the metal bases.
A large blue upholstered sofa supported on tapering silver coloured metal legs. With a matching cushion and bolster cushion. 210cms long, 86.5cms high. *CR Some fading on one side and at the front, material is marked in places including the front, arms and back. Some dog hair and could do with a clean.
Niels Erik From (1908-1986), Danish. A mid century silver and amber necklace and matching bracelet, of floral and foliate design, with oxidised finish, each segment set with a rounded cabochom amber, the clasps marked 'Sterling Denmark NE From', necklace 38.5 cm long, bracelet 19.5 cm long. (2) Overall good condition; some surface marks and internal inclusions and wear to the amber.
A silver and garnet butterfly brooch, set with rose-cut garnets (three stones lacking), 5 cm wide, together with a late 19th / early 20th century gilt metal Albert chain with textured links, approximately 128 cm long, a Victorian jet style brooch in the form of a hand holding a floral spray, with brass mark to back, and a small brass seal decorated with a flower. (4)

Unmarked, gross weight 4.8 grams.
