It is hallmarked with marker's mark for Georg Jensen, import mark London, 1973. It is stamped with the post 1945 Georg Jensen maker's mark '925S', 'DENMARK', '138'. The chain is original to the pendant but is not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as silver. Gross weight 43.2 grams. Condition Report made 3rd March 2017.
A Victorian Silver Locket on a Chain Necklace, the oval locket with applied beaded and chased floral decoration, on a chased and beaded fancy link chain necklace, locket measures 4.5cm by 3.8cm, chain length 52cm see illustration The locket and necklace are in good condition. There is some slight rubbing to the chased decoration. The locket is indistinctly hallmarked with 'W&CO' (?), Birmingham, the date mark is rubbed. The clasp is stamped '925' and in our opinion would test as silver. The pearls range in size from 6.10mm - 11.2mm approximately and are of grey-blue luster with some surface blemishes. It is stamped 'QUEENSWAY STG.SILVER' and in our opinion would test as silver. There is some slight crazing to the enamel. The enamel to the bail is a little worn. The enamel to the bail is of a different colour way to the pendant and therefore may be later added. The brooch is in good condition. It is not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as silver. It fastens with a pin and c-hook. The hook has traces of solder and appears repaired. Gross weight 7.8 grams. The pearls are of slightly irregular roundish form. They are a golden cream hue. The surface of the pearls is pitted in places, with grooves in parts. It is strung on unknotted thread. It fastens with two interlocking circular clasps. The clasps bear no hallmark nor stamp, but in our opinion they would test as blackened silver. Gross weight 164.4g. CR made 13th October 2016
