A silver table cigarette box, engine turned, Birmingham 1947. Length 4.5 ins. CONDITION REPORT: Generally very good order with no damage, no repairs and no restoration. The hallmarks to the base are fully clear and legible. The partial hallmark above the handle lip is badly rubbed.
An Edwardian silver photograph frame, in the Art Nouveau style, Birmingham 1905, Registered 443080, with oak back. Aperture 125 mm x 85 mm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: The frame is tarnished and has deposits of old silver polish. There are numerous dents and holes to the flowers in particular. The is a split to the bottom right hand side approximately 1.5 cm. To the rear the easel back is missing and the oakwork is slightly bleached.
A pair of Edwardian silver candlesticks, with detachable sconces, weighted. London 1903. Height 9.5 ins (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Generally good condition. There is no evidence of any repairs or restoration. The hallmarks are slightly rubbed but fully legible. The detachable sconces are a little worn through polishing but do not have any significant issues. There are some very minor dents to the bowls beneath the sconces. All that is really needed is a good clean.
A Victorian silver teapot and milk jug, London 1853 maker EB & JB, 1229 grams (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both pieces are in very good condition. We can see no evidence of any damage, repair or restoration. The hinge to the teapot lid is in good condition as is the handle and spout. The jug is also in very good order. Teapot height 20 cm, overall length including spout and handle 27 cm, maximum diameter approx 17 cm. Milk jug height to top of handle 19 cm, maximum diameter approx 10 cm.
A silver and enamel cigarette case, Birmingham 1935, maker Mappin & Webb. CONDITION REPORT: Reasonable condition. You will see from the image a small loss to the enamel in the top left hand corner and several other small surface scratches and scuffs. The rear of the piece has a similar piece of enamel damage almost opposite that on the front. The hallmarks are good and clear. The interior is a little dirty and has lost some of its gilding. The piece snaps shut as it should.
