A 1908 Olympic Games London Silver Medal in original box awarded to Walter Tysall Second Prize Gymnastic Heptathlon. Mr.Tysall was born in Birmingham and was three times British Champion 1906-1908. The venue for the Games was Shepherds Bush Stadium, (later White City), the Games having been transferred from Rome following the eruption of Mount Vesuvius. In an outdoor event, Mr.Tysall won the medal for combined efforts on the apparatus including fast and slow high bars, flying rings and rope climb.
