Rare (Silver Age) Marvel Comic'Tales of Suspense' #39 Mar 1963 UK Pence Copy. Tales of Suspense is one of the most significant Marvel titles of the Silver Age. The title both introduced Iron Man and showcased many of Captain America's earlier Silver Age appearances. For many decades, both Iron Man and Captain America have played a central role for Marvel as both stand-alone superheroes and central members of the Avengers super-hero team. NB: This Comic has not been trimmed. CONDITION REPORT: Scuffs to front cover, flattened worn spine, original staples intact, cover has come away from the top staple, page 1 has 12cm x 2.5cm piece missing at the very bottom of the page, water damage is the cause as page 3 has staining from the missing piece, there is yellowing to all pages as expected, there is a 4cm tear along the spine also
