An Art Deco silver and enamel travelling vanity set, the blue enamel applied coronets, various makers, retailed by Gieves Ltd, 21 Old Bond Street, Birmingham, 1930-34, in a fitted faux crocodile grey leather case, initialled, with travelling case cover See illustration Condition report Report by GH The clock is ticking and appears to be working. The back cover concealing the movement is slightly loose and both of the hands are slightly tarnished in places, otherwise enamel and other aspects in good condition. The enamel on all the other items is generally in very good condition with very occasional light surface scratches. The enamel top to one of the cut glass scent bottles has a small chip (barely noticeable) above the applied coronet. Two of the pieces from the leather zip up case contained in the right hand side of the set are missing. The leather case to the set is generally in good condition with some scuffs to the leather on the handle. The canvas protective cover has various stains, rips and damages. Overall the set is in good condition with only the aforementioned pieces missing, and appears to have hardly been used.

A silver and engine turned blue enamel oval shaped box, stamped R.S, 7 cm wide Condition report Report by GH Enamel chipped in several places on the left hand side of the box. One chip to the right hand side. General surface scratching, wear, and foot wear to the underside. No date letter.

Otherwise marks clear and unrubbed. Crest also unrubbed. No obvious damage or bending to metal. Surface scratches and wear commensurate with age.
