A 19th Century figured mahogany and ebony strung apothecary's chest, the lid opening to reveal twenty bottles over a drawer fitted with three lidded compartments and bone spoon and various poison labels over a fitted drawer with scales, two measures, pestle and mortar, two lidded tin compartments, eleven bottles, funnel, bone spoon and weights CONDITION REPORTS Large crack to rear of top. Dents and scratches throughout conducive with age and use, interior lining worn, bottles basically sound though with some signs of wear/scratching conducive with age and use. Section of beading to right rear corner dislodged but extant, beading to left rear side corner missing. Top drawer with covers, handles worn or missing, base drawer with various fittings, some with minor scratching etc conducive with use and age. Tin with signs of rust, silver funnel with denting to the base of spout, drawer lock pin missing

An Art Deco white agate and malachite embellished cigarette box with silver mounts (some malachite damage and cracks to agate), bearing initials "EAMCL", together with an Art Deco cased Swiss mantel clock on chrome base, a shagreen hinge lidded box and a further decorative box CONDITION REPORTS The agate box measures approx. 4.5 cm in height, 15.5 cm in length and approx. 9.5 cm in depth. The shagreen box measures approx. 5 cm in height, 13 cm in length and approx. 9.5 cm in depth. The marquetry inlaid box measures approx. 6 cm in height, 15 cm in length and approx. 10 cm in depth

A Victorian ladies burr walnut vanity case by Michi & Bazin of London the lid with brass shield inscribed "ASR 1862" opening to reveal and fitted interior with silver and/or white metal topped bottles and jars and secret fitted drawer (provenance bears label with handwritten inscription "this box belonged to Alice Suzannah Reeves "Aunt Alice" (1849-1933), Aunt of Mary Alice Goodman (born Reeves) mother of Sir Victor Martin Goodman, clerk of the Parliaments" CONDITION REPORTS The box itself has numerous light surface scratches, scuffs and knocks to the wood, some accretions which appear to be maybe flecks of white paint. There are a pair of scissors and two other items missing from the vanity set. Some tarnishing to the white metal lids, some light surface scratches also. Some of the lids have some minor knocks and dents. There is a crack to one corner of the internal fitted mirror. Some fading and wear to the velvet lined interior and box lids. Some wear and a small nick to the leather on the underside of the lid. Item has general wear and tear commensurate with age and use. There is some fading and discolouration to the wooden box.
