2002 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG Kompressor Transmission: Mileage:80602The fifth generation of the legendary SL series of two door convertible sports cars was known as the R230. It featured a fully retractable hardtop that was marketed as the Vario Roof, a first for the SL class although it had been available on the smaller SLK model since 1997. The flagship models were built by AMG in the form of the SL55 and SL65, both highly tuned versions of the SL500 and SL600 respectively. The SL55 was powered by a mighty supercharged version of the 5.5 litre, V8 which produced 493bhp and achieved 0-62 in 4.7 seconds and on to a top speed of 155mph (governed). In theory, the SL55 could reach 190mph if the car was derestricted but, for many, the acceleration and top speed is impressive enough in its standard form! This Supercharged version of the Mercedes SL was registered in October 2002.Originally blue, this SL was professionally wrapped by Evolution Customs in Dunfermline in 2015 and now presents stunningly as a replica of a Formula One pace car in silver, red and black. This sleek look is enhanced with black alloys and AMG decals. This head-turning Mercedes is offered to auction with a V5C registration and a fresh MoT test certificate and is available without reserve.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.Interested parties should note that the roof mechanism on this vehicle is not working.

1999 Volvo S90 Royal Long Wheelbase Transmission: automaticMileage:51500The Volvo 900 Series is a range of executive cars produced by the Swedish manufacturer Volvo Cars from 1990 to 1999. The 900 Series was introduced in 1990 to replace the 700 Series from which it derived. Prior to the end of its production, the 960 was renamed as the Volvo S90 (saloon) and Volvo V90 (estate), and the 940 was renamed 940 Classic, becoming the last rear wheel drive cars from Volvo. In 1994 for the 1995 model year the 960 received a facelift, including changes to the grille and body-coloured panels. A smaller 2.5 version of the six-cylinder was also added to the line-up, with 170 or 163bhp for the B6244FS version. The S90 Executive Royal featured a longer wheelbase and a centre console for the rear passengers, it is believed that 1100 were coachbuilt by the Volvo factory, 15cm longer than the standard model and with the 2.9 litre engine coupled to a smooth automatic gearbox and 17” Volvo Canopus wheels. This extremely well presented S90 Royal is offered in near unmarked silver coachwork with beige leather trim which has clearly had a very easy life, barely showing the 51,000 miles for which it has been sat in. Imported back from Japan in 2020, this was defined as a grade four example upon export and is indeed in impressive order. These cars were coachbuilt as a long wheelbase option and are as rare as hens’ teeth. This example boasts an MoT test certificate until August 2021, a UK V5 registration document and we are led to believe this may have been a diplomatic vehicle when in Japan. Built to last, in fabulous condition and good enough for diplomats, this is an ultra-rare example of the Volvo S90.Guide Price £6,000 - £10,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 109

1964 Triumph 5TA Transmission: manualMileage:18962The Speed Twin 5T was made by Triumph at their Coventry and, later, Meriden factories. Edward Turner, Triumph’s Chief Designer and Managing Director, launched the Triumph Speed Twin at the 1937 National Motorcycle Show. It was a 500cc OHV vertical twin in a lightweight frame and the first truly successful British parallel twin, setting the standard for many twins to follow. After World War II the Speed Twin was responsible for the survival of Triumph and every major British marque offered a 500cc twin designed on similar lines to the Speed Twin. Further development led to the 1959 model 5TA with a unit engine and gearbox construction and styling changes including the unpopular 'Bathtub' fairing which became more and more abbreviated as the model developed before disappearing altogether for the last year of production in 1966.Benefitting recently from fresh paintwork, this fine example is presented in the superb colour combination of light green and silver tank which perfectly complement this Triumph's image. Over recent years this 500cc 5TA has had a full rebuild and is described as in good running order; however, some fine fettling still may be required to improve its reliability on the road having not had much use since completion including the clutch benefitting from minor attention and a small oil leak from the rear pushrod covers. We are informed the engine and the gear box perform well and it is described as a generally well sorted example. Whilst rebuilt as a 5TA this Triumph has had panels replaced and an alternative seat fitted to move it away from the original bathtub rear; however, as a number matching example, at the heart of it, it still retains its originality whilst being tastefully altered. Offered with the UK V5C registration document and presented today as a fine-looking Triumph, this is a very usable classic that would be great for ride-outs in the summer!Guide Price £5,000 - £7,000Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 114

1978 Mercedes-Benz 450 SLC Transmission: automaticMileage:72938The R107 and C107 took the chassis components of the mid-size Mercedes-Benz W114 model and mated them to the larger engines from the W116 S-Class. The SL version was a two-seat roadster with standard soft top and hardtop with optional folding seats for the rear bench. The SLC (C107) derivative was a two-door hardtop coupé with normal rear seats. The SLC is commonly referred to as an SL coupé, but in reality it was an S-Class coupé, replacing the former saloon-based 280/300 SE coupé in the Mercedes-Benz line-up. Volume production of the first R107 car, the 350 SL, started in April 1971 alongside the last of the W113 cars; the 350 SLC followed in October. Sales in North America began in 1972, with the name 350 SL, but with a larger 4.5 litre V8 engine and were renamed 450 SL/SLC for model year 1973; the big V8 engine became available in other markets with the official introduction of the 450 SL/SLC in March 1973. US cars sold from 1972 until 1975. From July 1974 both SL and SLC could also be ordered with a fuel-injected 2.8 litre straight-six as 280 SL and SLC. September 1977 saw the introduction of the 450 SLC five litre featuring a new all-aluminium five-litre V8 engine, aluminium alloy doors, bonnet and boot lid and a black rubber rear spoiler. These handsome C107 coupés are becoming quite rare in such condition. Well presented in silver with a superb Olive Green velour interior, this example has had just five owners. The current vendor reports that the paintwork is in largely very good condition with just a few minor blemishes as is the interior which is very good for its age. Offered with a sizeable history file detailing previous maintenance work and MoT tests certificates, the Mercedes-Benz service booklet and the UK registration document. With all the qualities of the convertible R107 and two extra seats these SLCs are really starting to come of age. This wonderful example is in very good order and is imminently usable for the new owner.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 125

2003 Porsche 911 / 996 Turbo Transmission: automaticMileage:52298The 996 model is a superb car, quick, reliable, well-made and represented the birth of the water-cooled 911. With a wide range of models on offer, the most iconic is, of course, the Turbo. Featuring four-wheel drive and a 3.6 litre, intercooled engine derived from the 1998 Le Mans winning GT-1 car pushing out 420bhp and hitting 60mph in a whisker over four seconds, this is genuine supercar territory. The 996 was seen as a more relaxed and usable 911; however, in Turbo guise, the driver would get the best of both worlds; a luxury leather interior with every creature comfort combined with the ability to drop the hammer and reach a top speed of a claimed 190mph. Performance can be described as ballistic when behind the wheel of a Turbo. However, despite this mileage on early cars can swiftly reach into six figures, resulting in lower mileage models becoming quite the find for any collector or enthusiast. With just a little over 52,000 miles, our example is beautifully presented in metallic silver with black leather trim and has clearly had a pampered life. The paintwork is in lovely order and the leather is in beautiful condition. We are informed that all electrics operate as they should and the gear-change through the five-speed tiptronic gearbox is faultless. Under the wide arches sit standard and iconic turbo alloy wheels, as new with Pirelli P-Zero tyres all round and to the front the brake disc and pads were replaced just 1,500 miles ago. Included in the history file is a comprehensive service book showing stamps from five Porsche main dealers with specialists taking over annually from 2009 to 2014, before returning to the Porsche dealer network at just over 45,000 miles. Three recent services have been undertaken by specialists, one in 2017, another in January 2019 and January 2020 with a further service in January of this year, as such this car presents as a real 'get in and drive' example. Accompanying the car are all of the manuals contained within the leather pouch and an MoT test certificate valid until February 2022 and two keys. This is a superb example of an ever popular 911 in such fabulous condition that viewing is highly recommended especially with its very attractive estimate.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 130

1995 Mercedes-Benz SL500 Mille Miglia Transmission: automaticMileage:55200These days, Mercedes has not released too many limited edition models outside of their in house tuning arm, AMG. Before the days of AMG proliferation, Mercedes would release a special edition model from time to time, such as this 1995 SL500 Mille Miglia. Built to commemorate Stirling Moss’s win of the historic 1955 Mille Miglia road race. This R129, available as an SL320 or SL500, was available only in brilliant Silver Metallic, equipped with Evo II six-spoke polished alloys and a red and black leather interior complemented by carbon fibre trim. The side bumper grilles were also given a rather unique chequered flag treatment that, upon close inspection, is a clever collection of chrome squares. This right hand drive example has covered a mere 55,200 miles from new and is presented in absolutely fantastic overall condition. Boasting just one former keeper, it was supplied by Cruickshank Mercedes of Bristol to its first owner in September 1995 who enjoyed the car for 19 years. It was then sold to the second owner by Mercedes-Benz Bristol as a used approved car in 2014. Options fitted to the vehicle are auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors, automatic air conditioning, electric/heated front seats, rear seats with seat belts and headlamp cleaning system. The car is described by the vendor as ‘in excellent all-round condition with everything working and it drives as it should’. It comes with a lovely history file along with documentation of the Mille Miglia race, the stamped service book, a file of invoices and roof stand. The last service was only 350 miles ago and the current MoT test certificate is valid until March 2022 with all previous advisories having been attended to. With low mileage and so few owners, this car is surely one to put away for the future with R129 prices on the rise.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 140

1995 Porsche 911 / 993 Carrera Convertible Transmission: manualMileage:94795The Porsche 993 was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 964 generation of the iconic 911 models and was built until 1998. Regarded by many as the best generation of 911's ever produced from Stuttgart, this car was the last to use the air-cooled flat six engine that had powered 911's for the previous thirty years. It was offered in a number of guises and specifications during its production life including two and four-wheel drive, known as Carrera and Carrera 4 respectively. This stunning example was first registered on 1st August 1995 and it is presented in excellent metallic Polar Silver with classic grey leather interior which has recently been renewed and thus unmarked. Treated to a new hood in blue, this example was specified new from the factory with the lowered chassis, sports seats and wind deflector, all of which are detailed on the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity supplied with the car. The car has recently benefitted from new rear tyres and a new rear silencer in March 2019, it also boasts a tonneau cover and two sets of keys. Our private owner, a Porsche enthusiast and club member, purchased the car in 2015 and has since serviced the car with well-known specialists, Northway Porsche, with 19 stamps found in the original stamped maintenance book and continuation book, due to the original being full, with the most recent service in October 2020. Contained within the large history file are invoices for new ignition leads in 2017 and a clutch and slave cylinder in 2016, both under 1,000 miles ago, these are coupled to a current MoT test certificate valid until October 2021. A car that has been garaged and is in stunning order throughout with a fabulous history, this is truly a gem of a 993. This is one of the best of the last air-cooled 911's offered with a fitting 911 registration plate included with the car.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 147

2005 Bentley Continental Flying Spur Transmission: automaticMileage:43000The Bentley Continental Flying Spur (2006 - 2013) is the second Bentley manufactured since Volkswagen Group purchased the brand in 1999, after the Continental GT. The Flying Spur is essentially a four-door version of the GT, with a longer wheelbase and greater length for more spacious rear seating. The two models are similarly priced and the Flying Spur carries the same twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 used in the Continental GT, for an output of 600bhp. It has a 0 to 60 time of a very impressive 4.9 seconds and a top speed of 195 mph. The steering column-mounted paddle shifters enable direct access to the six-speed gearbox when the ZF transmission is in sports mode or the car can be driven at a more leisurely pace in automatic mode. Twelve inches longer than the GT and sharing the same permanent four-wheel drive platform and twin-turbo 6.0-litre W12 engine, although it must be said the Flying Spur is not just about eye-watering performance, the cabin is whisper quiet at any speed thanks to the silky engine and the extensive noise insulation measures that extend to double-pane glazing. This Bentley benefits from a full main dealer service history. To drive such a car is a memorable experience, when they have been cosseted in such a way as this example has it enhances the driving experience even further. The specification of a Flying Spur is exceptional with climate control front and rear, heated seats, electric memory seats and air conditioned seats. Finished in silver with black interior and supplied with a V5C registration document together with an Mot test certificate valid until 10th February 2022. This has been an exceptionally well cared for example having had ten services throughout its life all at Bentley main dealers, the last one was carried out by Jack Barclay on 12th March 2018 at 40,410 miles. The ergonomics of a Bentley Flying Spur are superb and the interior is remarkably sumptuous with ample leather and wood. Without doubt this car offers exceptional value for money.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Lot 151

2007 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG F1 Transmission: automaticMileage:45558Mercedes-Benz launched its new SL-Class (R230) of high-performance GTs in September 2001 at the Frankfurt Motor Show, though one had already served as Formula 1's Safety Car at Hockenheim in July. In 2002 the SL55 AMG went on sale. Hailed by Evo magazine as 'a supercar in disguise', the latter was powered by a 5.4 litre V8 engine producing 469bhp and a monstrous 520lb/ft of torque. And if that was not enough, the seriously speed-addicted could opt for the F1 version, which came with AMG's Performance Package that had been developed for the 2002 Formula 1 Safety Car. Costing an additional £10,000, AMG's upgrades included 'relaxing' the electronic speed restriction, enabling the car to reach 300km/h (186mph), plus changes to the suspension and brakes. There was also an extra oil cooler, a limited-slip differential and various changes to the exterior and interior styling. For the SL55 AMG a more robust five-speed automatic transmission was specified, the standard car's seven-speeder being considered not man enough for the job. This superb example of this ‘wolf in sheep’s clothing’ is presented in silver with black leather interior and comes with electric memory seats, air conditioning with climate control and a wind deflector. This is the facelift model with the F1 option pack and offered 510bhp when new and with its improved suspension, it gave it 60% less body roll. It also comes with a full Mercedes-Benz service history except for the last two, which were carried out by a Mercedes-Benz specialist. When the car was fully serviced in August 2019, this included the drive belts and plugs with an invoice total of £3,880 and it has covered just over 900 miles since. The present owner last serviced the car in February this year and he also replaced the rather dated satellite navigation system with a modern £3,000 Apple CarPlay touch screen unit (the original unit will come with car retaining its provenance). This fabulous car wants for nothing and is in superb condition throughout. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 152

2005 Mercedes-Benz C55 AMG Transmission: automaticMileage:79844The C55 signified a return to AMG’s V8 roots, after barely a three-year flirtation with a supercharged V6. AMG found 8,100 homes for the C32, but the AMG engineers seemed much happier now that there was a serious, big-capacity, naturally aspirated 5.4litre V8 powering the meatiest C-Class and the badge is there to, well, to ensure the owners don’t forget. It is not the performance, AMG claimed 5.2 seconds to 62mph for both C55 and C32, or even the transformation to a deep, wonderfully muscular exhaust note, but the makeover in the dynamics that stood the new sports saloon apart. The C55 marked a small, but perceptible, shift towards a sharper, more sporting focus, that set it closer to the M3 than any previous AMG hotrod C-Class.This example of this brute of a car is presented in silver with black leather interior and comes with electric heated front seats, sunroof, air conditioning with climate control. Also accompanying the car is its original service book showing frequent servicing at almost yearly intervals from 31st June 2005 to October 2019. With the values of the earlier Cosworth-inspired super sports Mercedes rocketing well into six figures, this pure-blood AMG super saloon in the lightweight C-Class bodyshell is already a collectible Mercedes AMG hot rod, with blistering performance and that oh-so-inspiring and famous AMG V8 exhaust note.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.Interested parties should note that contrary to the catalogue description, this vehicle has been UK registered with the registration number of LK55 UNN

Lot 163

2002 Renault Avantime Privilege Transmission: automaticMileage:108200So sensational was the public and motoring press reaction in 1998 at the Paris Salon unveiling of their concept design gran-turismo super-MPV, Renault poured a staggering 1.4bn francs (€285m) into development of the world’s first MPV coupé. Remarkably, true to the original design, the 'Avantime', built by Matra, was a genuine mould-breaker that offered a luxurious cabin. Add to this an option to specify the highly capable three litre, V6 engine, the Avantime really delivered a truly exciting motoring experience.First registered to Renault UK Ltd., each 'prestige' dealership was allocated a showcase Avantime. HY02 XZN is 'Limited Edition' car Number 55. Specified as a top-of-the-range, three litre, V6 in 'Nocturn' metallic purple beneath silver roof-rails with black leather and carpets. Mr. Black has been the sole private registered keeper of this car from new, with annual usage reducing each year until the car was placed into storage for four years. Some light recommissioning took place last Summer and a fresh MoT test issued last September. The car is reported to present magnificently and drives smoothly. Historics are proud to present such a desirable Avantime, complete with both original keys, leather owner's zipper wallet, original dealer number plates (retained with the history file), Limited Edition Renault UK presentation book, box, plaque and certificate. With only 452 examples having been sold in righthand drive in the UK, such fine examples are becoming increasingly difficult to find, certainly one with just one recorded owner.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 173

1997 Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph Transmission: automaticMileage:40418The Geneva Motor Show of 1998 saw the launch of the all new Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph. This new model was hand built at the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe. It replaced the Silver Spur which ended production in 1997. The car had a base price of £155,175 in the U.K. and was powered by a 5.4 litre, aluminium alloy BMW V12 engine, making it the first twelve cylinder Rolls-Royce since the 1939 Phantom III. This well equipped Rolls-Royce was fitted with adaptive ride control and anti-lock brakes and shared a platform and bodyshell with its contemporary; the Bentley Arnage. In both cars the seats and dashboard were upholstered in Connolly leather with the door cappings and folding rear picnic trays finished in burr walnut veneer. The build quality of this new model was described as being the best Rolls-Royce to date.Originally registered on 19th December 1997, this Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph presents extremely well in the classic combination of Peacock Blue paintwork and magnolia Connolly leather. Arguably the most popular colour combination for this model. The inside of this great car greets with an abundance of woodwork and exceedingly comfortable seats. The smooth 5379cc, V12 engine offers brisk performance. As one of the last Rolls-Royce models to be built at the spiritual home of the brand these cars are becoming recognised by collectors and enthusiasts as fine investments. 2001 Aston Martin Vanquish Transmission: paddleMileage:14481An entirely new Aston Martin for the 21st Century, the Vanquish debuted at the Geneva Auto Show in March 2001, with deliveries commencing a few months later. The Vanquish took over from the Vantage V8 with the Newport Pagnell factory undergoing an extensive multi-million pound refurbishment to accommodate it, gaining a new assembly line, paint shop, rolling road and water test facility. Styled by Ian Callum, the man responsible for the DB7, the Vanquish was developed with assistance from Aston Martin’s parent company Ford using constructional techniques more advanced than those of any current road car of that time. The 6.0 litre, 48 valve, V12 engine, the first of its type for Aston Martin, developed 460bhp at 6,800rpm, 400lb/ft of torque available at 5,500 revs. The state-of-the-art electronic engine management system provided ‘drive by wire’ throttle control and was linked to the six-speed manual gearbox’s electro-hydraulic change mechanism, a first for a production car. The gearchange was controlled by F1-style paddles and could be operated in either of two modes, fully manual or computer controlled automatic, with a ‘sport’ setting available on both. It was an instant sales success and its choice as transport for James Bond only added to the appeal. This truly stunning Aston Martin Vanquish 2+2 has only covered 14,500 miles and when new was supplied with the Aston Martin Works walnut pack, premium audio system and electric heated seats. Regularly serviced with twelve services listed, the last carried out at 14,025 miles, this car has had the Vanquish S clutch upgrade fitted. Finished in Ferrari Grigio Titanio silver with charcoal and Tailor Grey interior, this lovely Aston Martin Vanquish is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in October 2021, the original aluminium book pack, the fire extinguisher, first aid kit, torch, tyre pressure gauge, quick guide and original note pad. 1998 Rolls-Royce Silver Seraph ‘Ex Sir Bobby Robson’Transmission: automaticMileage:77222Unveiled in March 1998, the Silver Seraph replaced the Silver Spur. All Seraphs were handbuilt at the Rolls-Royce factory in Crewe, England, which stopped making Rolls-Royce models in 2002 but continued with Bentley. The car had a base price of £155,175 in the UK and was powered by a 5.4 litre, aluminium alloy, BMW V12 engine making it the first twelve-cylinder Rolls-Royce since the 1939 Phantom III. Standard electronics included digital engine management, adaptive ride control and anti-lock brakes and, aside from the radiator grille, badges and wheels, the Rolls-Royce was externally identical to the contemporary Bentley Arnage sharing both its platform and bodyshell. Inside, the Silver Seraph and the Bentley Arnage were similar but quite distinct from one another. In the Seraph, the gear selector was column mounted, and the gauges followed a traditional Rolls-Royce layout (for example, there was no tachometer). In both cars, the seats and dashboard were upholstered in Connolly leather and glossy burr walnut veneer and featured folding picnic trays for rear passengers. This wonderful example showing a mere 77,222 miles on the odometer is presented in the desirable colour combination of silver over a red leather interior. Purchased by ‘the gentleman of British football’, the late Sir Bobby Robson some years ago, the Silver Seraph was his pride and joy and was used regularly. The current vendor reports that the Rolls-Royce is in very good order throughout and drives superbly. Offered with a UK V5C registration document and a current MoT test certificate the Seraph comes to the market with a sensible reserve price and a very interesting history. Ready to be enjoyed by a new custodian. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1997 Bentley Turbo R Long Wheelbase Transmission: automaticMileage:13500Based on the Mulsanne chassis, the Bentley Turbo R was built to be a serious high-performance machine, and like its predecessor, this Bentley had a turbocharged engine, however, the R was more highly tuned and a touch sportier. With Bosch fuel-injection increasing torque levels, uprated suspension, anti-roll bars, and superior dampers, the Bentley Turbo was surprisingly nimble for a car of its size and fitted with a 6750cc V8 capable of 135mph, it was a real performer in a straight line too. Rave reviews in the press helped dealers move the Turbo R in relatively substantial numbers, one report by Motor Trend described it as ‘The first Bentley in decades deserving of that famous name’. The suspension changes, though seemingly subtle, transformed the heavy car into a real performer and slotted above the Bentley Mulsanne S and Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit and it carved a well-deserved niche in the world of performance saloons. This exceptional H.R. Owen supplied Bentley Turbo R Long Wheelbase has only covered 13,500 miles from new. Registered on 1st January 1997, the first owner, being chauffeur driven, had the car for 20 years until 2017 and only covered 13,035 miles. The second owner sent the car to The Chelsea Workshop who carried out a full service and replaced the steering rack all at a cost of £4,400, in his ownership he has added a further 450 miles to the total. Finished in Diamond Blue Silver with Royal Blue hide which has been described as virtually perfect and Burr Walnut wood veneer. A superb service history accompanies P778 MRK and we have been informed that it is driving exceptionally well. This Turbo R Long Wheelbase is supplied with a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in March 2022 and a file containing copies of the service history from H.R. Owen, past MoT test certificates, a copy of the build sheets and a copy of The Chelsea Workshop invoices. These magnificent machines were one of the finest ever manufactured at Crewe and are fast becoming recognised as such, and this example is probably the best of the best.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

2000 Renault Clio II RS (172 Phase 1) Transmission: manualMileage:44900The Renault Clio is a supermini car and was launched in 1990, and entered its fifth generation in 2019. The Clio has had substantial critical and commercial success, being consistently one of Europe's top-selling cars since its launch and it is largely credited with restoring Renault's reputation and stature after a difficult second half of the 1980s. The Clio is one of only two cars, the other being the Volkswagen Golf, to have been voted European Car of the Year twice, in 1991 and 2006. In 1998, Renault launched the Clio Renault Sport (also known as Clio RS for short, named Clio Renault Sport 172; 172 coming from the DIN method metric horsepower measurement), with a 2.0 L 16-valve engine and a top speed of 137 mph and only 1357 were produced. This lovely example of this rare model is presented in Titanium Silver with blue/grey leather and Alcantara interior. It was one of the first UK registered cars of this type and one of only 1,357 produced and being the early model, it has an aluminum body and gear shift light. The car comes with a good service history, Brembo HC front discs, air conditioning, power steering and had its cambelt change at 42,863 miles. These are rare ‘hot hatches’ and this particular example will not disappoint in any respect.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. 1995 Porsche 993 Carrera 4 Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:54653The Porsche 993 was introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 964 generation of the iconic 911 model and was built until 1998. Regarded by many as the best generation of 911s ever produced from Stuttgart, this car was the last to use the air cooled flat six engine that had powered 911s for the previous thirty years. The 993 was offered in a number of guises and specifications during its production life including two and four wheel drive trains, known as Carrera and Carrera 4 respectively. The 993 was the first generation 911 to have standard six-speed manual transmission. This iconic looking Porsche was manufactured in 1995 and spent most of its life in the dry state of California. Imported to the U.K in 2018 by the vendor, this low mileage example has been garaged since its arrival and used very rarely. Fitted with air conditioning, C.D. player, sunroof, electric adjustment for the seats and a category five tracking device, this left hand drive example is, we are told, a joy to drive. The road holding of these four wheel drive Porsches is legendary and this is no exception. Offered to auction with a file containing details of all the cars American service history, a V5C registration document and an MoT test certificate valid until 18th February 2022. This Porsche presents well in metallic silver which is complemented with a grey leather interior and is ready to go.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. 1968 Morris Cooper S Mk. I (1275cc) Transmission: manualMileage:11226 To many, its designer Alec Issigonis included, the notion that the Mini might have a future as anything other than basic transport was anathema and the idea of a high-performance version was laughable. One man though, saw it quite differently. Racing car manufacturer John Cooper already knew quite a bit about tuning BMC's A-Series engine, he was running the company's Formula Junior effort at the time and a test drive in a prototype Mini convinced him of the car's competition potential. The result, launched in September 1961, was the Mini Cooper, a car that offered a size/price/performance package that was nothing short of miraculous. The Mini Cooper soon established its credentials as a rally and race winner, and the stage was set for even faster versions. The first of these, the 1,071cc Mini Cooper 'S' of 1963, took engine development a stage further and provided the basis for the 971 'S' and 1275 'S' of 1964.This attractive Cooper S version of the unmistakable Mini was manufactured in 1968 and has spent most of its life in the dry environment of New South Wales, Australia. Imported by its enthusiast owner in January 2017, this well presented Mini has been dry stored since its return and has seen minimal use. The classic colour combination of white with a retrimmed red interior is complemented with a black roof and a new set of silver and matt black wheels with Yokohama tyres. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, this MoT test exempt example will certainly bring a lot of joy to any new owner. Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Built by Bentley Motors in Crewe, England from 1998 to 2009, the Arnage and its Rolls-Royce sibling named the Silver Seraph, were introduced in the Spring of 1998 and were the first entirely new designs for the two marques since 1980 when the Silver Spirit and Mulsanne models were introduced. In 2002, Bentley updated the Red Label as the series two Arnage R. This model was launched to contrast the Arnage T, which was developed to be a more sporty variant. The Arnage R features two Garrett T3 turbochargers fitted to the engine as with the RL. Bentley quote the Arnage R as being an unrivalled example of the Grand Touring philosophy, making every journey a unique experience of power, luxury and control. 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda Transmission: automaticMileage:45700In 1963, Mercedes-Benz debuted an all-new roadster to replace the 190 SL and 300 SL - the 230 SL. The 230 SL 'Pagoda' was a stunning Paul Bracq designed two-seat convertible that followed Mercedes' new design language, featuring crisp lines and upright headlights. To save on weight, the bonnet, doorskins, boot lid, and tonneau cover were all composed of aluminium. The nickname 'Pagoda' was quickly adopted thanks to the slightly concave roof on the optional removable hardtop that resembled a pagoda roof. In 1967, Mercedes introduced the third and final iteration of the 'Pagoda', the 280 SL, and it then became apparent that some cars don't change, they just get better. The 280 featured the same modified W111 chassis with a rear swing axle and independent front suspension and four-wheel disc brakes. Power came from a 2.8 litre version of Mercedes inline-six and used Bosch fuel injection. A charming model with capable handling and braking thanks to its suspension and all-wheel disc brakes. These roadsters also have one of the most beautiful bodies produced in the 1960s. Thanks to their robust inline-six and their luxurious Mercedes interior, they are wonderful cars to be driven and enjoyed. This excellent, right hand drive, 1969 Mercedes-Benz 280 SL Pagoda has been subject to a two-year ground-up restoration by marque specialists Red Castle Classics based near Cardiff in South Wales. Since the restoration which was completed four years ago this car has only driven 350 miles. The first owner is unknown but from October 1978 it was owned by Mr. McMinn of Surbiton, he sold it in 1982 to Mr. Simon Peters who kept the car for many years until the car was sold, by his then widow, to Mr. Max Walker in July 2010 who shipped the car to his home in Jersey where he changed the colour from gold to metallic grey and upgraded the interior to black leather. This 280 SL returned to the mainland in 2012. Purchased by the current owner in April 2016 to join his small collection of SLs, he sent it directly for the restoration to be completed. It is believed the mileage of 45,700 miles is correct and is supported by old MoT test certificates which date back to 1982 at 18,240 miles and bills from June 1979 at 2,608 miles. Now superbly finished in the Mercedes-Benz classic colour scheme of silver with red leather interior, this 280 SL roadster is supplied with a matching factory hardtop, the desirable third seat option and a Becker Mexico radio from 1971. Supplied with the car is a V5 registration document, an MoT test certificate which expires in September 2021 and a file containing old MoT test certificates, sundry invoices including the invoice for the restoration at £80,000 plus VAT, the service book and the handbook. These Pagodas are always a pleasure to drive, particularly in good weather when the roof is down and the smooth six-cylinder engine can be enjoyed.Interested parties should satisfy themselves as to the description and condition of each lot prior to the sale. Accordingly, buyers are on notice that each vehicle is offered ‘as is/as seen’ subject to the Terms and Conditions for the auction. Buyers are advised to inspect the vehicle in person or use a professional to carry out this service. Historics will not entertain disputes over descriptions.

Lot 198

1969 Porsche 911S Coupé Transmission: manualMileage:72946Introduced at the 1963 Frankfurt Auto Show, Porsche’s all-new 911 drew instant acclaim. Like its predecessor, the long-running 356, it had a rear-mounted air-cooled ‘boxer’ engine, but where the 356 had four cylinders the 911S offered six, with single overhead camshafts and a displacement of 1,991cc. The engine produced 130bhp and a five-speed transmission was standard. Styling, reminiscent of the 356 but with up-to-date cues, was by Ferdinand ‘Butzi’ Porsche, grandson of the founder Ferdinand Porsche. In 1966, a performance model 911S was added to the line. Its engine had the same displacement as the 911 but had higher compression and was fed by twin Weber carburettors. The 911S delivered an impressive 180bhp. While the 356 was notable for its longevity in the marketplace, the 911 has proved nearly immortal.Originally ordered for the United States, this 911S was imported into the United Kingdom in 2004 and has been in long term ownership by the vendor since October 2008. The MoT test certificate history shows how little this example has been used since his acquisition. This left hand drive version of the iconic Porsche 911 presents well in silver metallic with a charcoal interior and comes with a comprehensive service folder containing various bills and receipts for works completed. We are advised by the vendor that there are no known faults with the car and that she is a joy to drive. Offered to auction with a V5C registration document, this MoT test certificate exempt Porsche is one of the more sought after examples. Good quality examples are rare and highly desirable and CHJ 360G is certainly one of those.
