1940s / 1950s gentlemen's Rolex wristwatch with Rolex seventeen jewel Patented Super Balance Chronometer movement, the circular matte silver dial with Roman numeral hour markers at the evens, gold dots at the odds, subsidiary seconds, oversized hour hand, in bi-metal case, with stainless steel bezel and back with rose gold 'coin' milled edge to the case and lugs. Model ref: 3923. Serial no. 309060, case approximately 33mm diameter CONDITION REPORT Any service history or replacement parts are unknown to us. Watch winds, hands adjust and watch appears to run freely although we give no guarantees as to the accuracy or operation. Case in good order with overall surface scratching commensurate with age, one area of slight damage to ridging on side to case. Some light scratching to glass and some slight discolouration to dial - see photos. Winding crown (not bearing Rolex crown) has wear to plating, on later strap and buckle
First World War period Rolex silver cased 'trench' wristwatch with Rolex fifteen jewel movement, the circular white enamel dial with subsidiary seconds in half hunter-style silver case with enamelled chapter ring, Import hallmarks (London 1916), case 35mm diameter CONDITION REPORT Any service history or replacement parts are unknown to us. Watch not in working order- when winding is attempted, the crown springs back although hands adjust. Enamel dial has several cracks visible when outer case is opened. Wear to luminous painted numerals and hour hand is badly bent. Chips and scratches to outer case enamel numerals and ring. Case itself is tarnished, has overall surface scratching and several small dents to sides. Steel winding crown not bearing Rolex crown- possibly a later replacement, buckle on strap not bearing Rolex crown
Rare 17th century Dutch colonial, possibly Chinese, rosewood and amboyna writing box with floral engraved silver mounts, interior brass strap hinges, original division and interior drawers, glass inkwell and sander - probably made for the Dutch East India Company (V.O.C.), 43.5cm wide x 28cm deep x 8cm high CONDITION REPORT Wood to lid has some minor splits, interior would appear to be missing one drawer, one inkwell missing cover and glass chipped. Vacant holes to interior also noted, possibly for another inkwell. Silver mounts have some splits, dents and missing retaining pins

No dents or distortion and no inlaid decoration. Discolouration dirt to Greek key decoration around neck to both vases and overall wear commensurate with age

A 32-BORE JAPANESE MATCHLOCK LONGGUN, 39.5inch sighted octagonal tapering barrel inlaid in brass, copper and silver with a dragon, bulbed muzzle with white metal overlays and signed to the underside, full stock applied with decorative engraved brass plates. Barrel with pitting and a small area of wood let in to the fore-end on the right side. Ramrod and pan cover lacking.
A 20-BORE PERCUSSION DUELLING OR OFFICER'S PISTOL BY HARCOURT, 11.5inch sighted two-stage barrel inlaid in silver KUCHENREUTER and decorated with geometric designs at the breech, border engraved lock converted from flintlock using the drum and nipple principle and signed HARCOURT, full stocked with border engraved steel mounts, the trigger guard decorated with a stand of arms, chequered butt, horn capped wooden ramrod. Worn.
