A Fabulous Russian Silver Tazza, approx 1800 grams in weight. The border intricately decorated in relief with a procession of revellers; `The Triumph of Bacchus` defined against a matted ground and incorporating an elephant, chariot drawn by a panther and horses. The urn-knopped stem embellished with face masks swagged in garlands of fruit & flowers above an ornate domed foot with animal head mounts adorning a gadrooned band, and a guilloche rim, 6¼ ins (16 cms) in height, 9 ins (23 cms) in diameter. [Reputed to have been acquired circa 1920 by a British Officer doing political work in Poland at that time].
