ß &nbsp2007 Mathilde, Chateau La Fleur Morange, Saint-Emilion OCC 12x75cl IN BOND Chateau La Fleur Morange Mathilde, located in the extreme eastern sectors of St. Emilion, is owned by Jean-François Julien and boasts some of the oldest Merlot vines in St. Emilion, as well as in all of Bordeaux, with vines dating back more than 100 years. From the 3.45-hectare vineyard planted to 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc, the estate makes two unique Bordeaux wines - La Fleur Morange, produced from a tiny, 1.5 hectare section, and Chateau La Fleur Morange Mathilde, named after the owner's daughter and produced from old vines, some approaching an impressive 50 years of age.Chateau La Fleur Morange Mathilde offers its best drinking and should reach peak maturity after 7 to 20 years. Older vintages may need light decanting, just to remove the sediment.

Y&nbspA FINE REGENCY KINGWOOD, PARCEL GILT AND GILT BRONZE MOUNTED LIBRARY TABLE IN THE MANNER OF MOREL & SEDDON, CIRCA 1815 71cm high, 142cm wide, 71cm deepProvenance: Private Collection, London The present library table relates closely to a group of furniture supplied by the distinguished furniture making firm of Morel & Seddon for the Royal Apartments at Windsor Castle. They specialised in the use of light woods such as thuya, kingwood and amboyna combined with carved giltwood decoration. For comparison see Hugh Roberts, For the King's Pleasure, The Furnishing and Decoration of George IV`s Apartments at Windsor Castle, 2001, pp.317 (fig 399) and pp.332 (fig 413). Condition Report: Marks, scratches and abrasions comensurate with age and use. Fading overall. Some old chips and splits, some old repairs. some minor losses. Various old wear to the gilded areas as expected for age and use. Some old repairs including some small sections of veneer to the outer edges of the veneered plinth elements of the feet (as expected for age and use) These have been fairly well executed in the main. An experienced and qualified restorer could improve the appearance of them without great expense. The repairs there can mainly only be detected upon close inspection currently. Some old ink stains to the top and partial ring marks, some darker scratches (as expected for age and use) The appearance of these could be improved by a suitably qualified restorer if desired. The ink stains are not extensive but visible (please refer to additional images.) One thin section of veneer right at one shorter edge of the top of the table is possibly an old replacement but is extremely well executed and sits in position very well. The grain of the section varies from the remainder of the veneer of the top and appears to have been very skillfully 'grained' to be closer in appearance to the adjacent veneers. The 'graining' is darker in appearance to the adjacent veneers. The table is overall of solid structure. There is only very minor movement to some joints from age and use. The table is of solid useable condition. Some old replacement screws to the underside of the feet securing them. A small number of screws lacking. This table is a very high quality example of its type. The overall quality alongside features that support the high quality include the strips of veneer (providing highly attractive figuring of the fine veneers, solid mahogany drawer linings, very high quality cast metal feet.
