A Late 19th/Early 20th Century French Ebonised and Gilt Metal Mounted Centre Table, with red and white flecked marble inset to top, plain frieze, on cabriole legs, 56ins wide x 30ins deep x 21ins highThe marble top has some light scattered scratching and all four edges of the top have some general rubbing and slight edge knocks. Gilt loss on all four corners of the top. Diagonal shrinkage splits each around 2ins long. Slight oxidisation to the metal components on the frieze. To the right hand side at the front there is a vertical shrinkage split around 4ins long. On the left hand side there is some veneer loss and bubbling. To the right hand side there is a vertical shrinkage split around 4ins long and on the very far right hand side of the right edge there are some areas of veneer shrinkage and bubbling. To the right hand front leg there is an area of gilt metal loss around 8ins long. On the left hand edge there is a vertical shrinkage split around 4ins long. On the very left hand edge of the left side there is veneer shrinkage and bubbling. On the left hand back leg the gilt metal is loose but present. The back right hand leg has extensive gilt loss which is loose but present. On the back edge there are various areas of veneer shrinkage and loss, most noticeably on the right hand side where there is a shrinkage split running vertically around 4ins long and a rectangular section of veneer loss around 2ins squared. A Pair of Ash and Elm Windsor Armchairs, each with curved crest rails, vase pattern splats, dish wood seats, on horseshoe stretchers with cabriole legs and pad feetTo the crest rails, back of the seats and arms there is dark staining due to historic polish build up. Light scattered scratching to the seat. On the arm terminals, the support meeting the arm has a visible line due to shrinkage. General heavier wear to the feet and legs commensurate with age. Flight holes present to the lower legs, evidence of historic woodworm. On the back left hand stretcher of one of the chairs there is a small repair. Overall the chairs appear to be in a relatively good condition.

Hallmarks struck on cover, on side of upper section of mounts and on base of lower section of mounts - some are very dirty, those on underside are slightly rubbed. There is no internal stopper. The springs to the front section of the seat are six large springs which are collapsed and lacking padding. The springs on the back and padding on the arms feel firm and comfortable as well as the back section of the seat. There are also three squab cushions, each showing signs of light wear commensurate with age however there are no obvious tears or rips. As for the wooden components like the outscroll arms, the apron and feet show light scattered scratching and wear commensurate with age. Overall the item is structurally sound with little to no movement to the joints and appears to be in a fairly good condition. This settee is upholstered with horsehair.

Johan Heinrich Muntz (1727-1798) - Pair of pen and wash drawings - Travellers in Italian countryside, with Tuscan town in distance, 12ins x 17.5ins, framed and glazedThese works have not been inspected out of their frames. The first example - hilltop town - some very light discolouration, particularly evident to background, particularly sky. The other - with light scattered discolouration, again obvious to sky. Additionally there is one small brown spot, probably foxing. In all other respects these two works appear to be in good condition with no obvious damage/loss/restoration. The watch wind, runs and sets but should be regarded as untested. Due to the rather complicated method of removing the rear case we have been instructed by the vendor not to attempt to remove the rear cover so it is not possible to show images of the movement or marking to the interior of the case, however the deployment clasp is original Cartier and 1363 which matches the mark on the case. The blade itself is bright and free from any significant corrosion however it does have some patination of age in places. There is no obvious sign of damage or previous repair. The guard has a very nice patination to the bronze, a very deep brown, again free from any sign of obvious damage or previous repair, likewise the shagreen grip is in good condition, all the wire binding is intact and is not loose or damaged and has no sign s of previous repair. The scabbard does have a fair amount of external corrosion which should clean off but it merely patination of age. There is no damage, dents or sign of previous repair.
