The third lustre is missing a lustre from the central oval mount (3 o'clock) and also a pendant drop missing to the front left hand branch. The fourth wall fitting appears to be complete. There may be the odd lustre missing and some of the lustre chain drops may be shorter but these are not instantly obvious and all appear to hang well. Height 171 cm (see illustration). CONDITION REPORT: Both lamps light. They are both structurally sound with no losses or damage to the brasswork. They are both tarnished and dirty. They will probably at some point have had some form of lacquered finish which is no longer present. They both appear a little dull and have a matt rather than shiny finish.
A vintage brass desk lamp, with green glass shade, bearing label "Greenalite". Height 48 cm, width 27 cm. CONDITION REPORT: The light is in working order. The shade is in good order and free from any chips, cracks or visible damage. On the interior of the lamp there is a faint printed mark “Made in Germany”. The brass bars supporting the shade are slightly misshapen and both are dark dull colour. At the top of the column there is a 1 cm rubbed mark to the edge which shows a spelter colour. One would say that this is a patinated spelter table lamp rather than a brass table lamp. It has lived in look with a few nicks around the base but nothing in our opinion that is overly detrimental.
